Our group members continue to make progress toward our original "Slim by Summer" goals. We have our ups and downs, and occasionally come upon a fork in the road. But we continue in the right direction. We are awesome, don't you agree?

    We are Awesome!!!
So my sister and her family are home and I feel like I got run over by a truck. Twice last week I overslept and was making the mad dash to get myself to work. My thought of oversleeping is the fact I wasn't up early enough to get in my exercising and it just throws off my whole day.
I did not find capris I guess I'm in between sizes. But as we now have snow again I guess I have time to find some.

I feel bad for my daughter she put on weight her last year in college and is now in Grad school and she told me how her boyfriend's mother told him she would take her out and show her how to dress properly. She knows how to dress she just doesn't want to spend the money on clothes right now. So we went to the drawer and I handed her 5 or 6 tops and said how about this? She was that's good mom. You all know yes I think my daughter needs a new wardrobe but when she is ready. Why is it that other people think I don't want what's best for my child I just know when they get to a certain age you have to let them make the decision that it's time on their own. thus I have the magic drawer when I find something I know would look good on her in her size in a non threatening color I pick it up. When I know she is coming I put the said item on so she thinks it's mine then I ask her if it's too young or how does the neck look. ;) then when she finds it in the magic drawer she thinks oh mom decided against that.

time for me to get ready for work til later everyone.

I have a plan for this week which includes one session of exercise every day and healthy food stocked up already. It is still slow and gentle exercise but it is a start to getting back to my old routine! As I get through a few days at one intensity I can increase it slightly as well so that in a few weeks I should be back to full intensity on non-contact training.

I'm also planning on a couple of weights sessions in the week which is something I have been planning to get more info.

@CaptainBoing I love how nothing gets you down. . . you adjust and go on. It's inspiring!

@2020pinktogo you are very clever. I like how you figured out a way to give without intruding. I don't have a daughter (2 boys) but I still know that support needs to be provided in an unobtrusive way or it can be met with much resistance. You're doing good mom!

@NewOR2015 we are an awesome team!

I too have been contemplating the weight thing. Just am so clueless on where to go with it so I'm just going with resistance til I have that mastered.

    Thanks @Living360 <3

So for the last I don't know how many years I have lived in dark colors. My bathing suit was black my coat was black pants everything seemed to be black. Now that I have lost weight Oh I like color. My bathing suit is purple . My new winter coat is Magenta, I have t shirts in every color of pink and purple and blues. Yoga pants are still black I like black pants. My husband said Wow there is a lot of color in that laundry basket. I like color did I just not feel comfortable in it when I was heavy? was I just hiding in general? Gives me something to think about.

Black and navy blue were my standard clothes colors for many years. For me, it was definitely to hide or blend into the background. Now, I'm standing out a little more with a splash a color from time to time. I still don't like to draw a lot of attention to myself, but I don't mind getting an occasional compliment about something I'm wearing now.

@2020pinktogo - Totally agree with the color. I bought black for so long, I've been going through a black clothing rebellion too!

Today started off totally chaotic with plumbers coming to the house to replace my broken geyser and technical fixing the broken crocodile enclosure. I needed to be at both places to supervise which was clearly not going to happen! In the end, I delegated to other staff and went home. That meant a day binge watching TV series which is horrible for my motivation, but then I joined the me game of Thrones challenge here on mfp and was inspired to do something active. 20 min on the exercise bike and some core exercises! At least now I can shower in my cottage instead of trekking over to my parents every day.

Tomorrow is my next bio session and I want to try the weights class at my gym.

Hello everyone! I am back from my trip. I have been back since Friday and I am trying to return to the swing of things. We're also moving to a new place this week, so along with jet lag, this is already a tiring week. I will be taking a big nap when I get home from work today.

I didn't work out while I was gone and I can tell. While I didn't gain, I feel fluffy and feel like some of my muscle definition isn't so visible right now. I do know that it is temporary, though.

I hope you're all doing well. It looks like everyone is moving along toward their goals. 47 school days left until the summer for me. :)

I went out and bought capris today and I stepped out of my comfort zone again!!!! My sister will tell you that my capris are all one color Khaki every shade of khaki there is. Not today I tried on every color but no KHAKI I even tried on prints. I can honestly tell you I am not to the print stage yet. I got denim, grey and a pair I know would freak out my sister as they were black but they had these super pockets in them. pockets were trimmed in a bright color but I figure if my shirt were untucked no one would notice and they were so comfortable. Bottom line the pockets sold me. I'm so tired of everything not having a decent pocket in it. How come they have to either bedazzle the rear end or put huge buttons on the back pockets. Men do have it so much easier their clothes are just basic.

Well crazy called in so I have to get ready for work. Hope you all had a great day!!!!

Great day today. Finally, feeling on track. Got my veggies in, staying within my calorie limit, hitting all the right nutrients.

As for pockets, I do feel I'm losing pocket space whenever I have to go down a size. The pockets on my size 22W pants were awesome! Not so much in my 16Ws.

I was telling this customer that I miss pockets where you have room for keys and phone and a wallet and that's all in one pocket. Men's pockets are all the same size i measured them. Shoot they even get a pocket in their swim trunks. Who did we tick off? LOL

Haha, I started wearing my running belt at work so my keys have somewhere to go when my shorts don't have pockets. I have the runners belt which expands as you put things in it, so it stays pretty small and inconspicuous worth just my keys in it!

OMG my sister found out I wear a fanny pack when I go walking and she was like OH NO YOU DON'T. I'm like it's the park it's not a fashion statement and well maybe afterwards I run to the store. I made sure I didn't use it when we were together. LOL I was afraid she would take it and destroy it and I love my 80's fanny pack. :)

When I walk, I usually take my driver's license, insurance card, a credit card and phone. My husband thought that was odd until one afternoon we walked a couple of miles one way and he decided it would be nice to go into the grocery store and get something to drink. No problem!

I, too, take my DL, IC, CC, & phone when I go anywhere...even if it's just to check my mail down the block.

How's everyone doing? I've had a good week so far...more on track than I've been in a loooong time. I feel so much better when I eat right; I don't know why I don't do this for myself all the time.

Have my new swimsuit and a trip planned to Florida in about 2 weeks. Hoping for nice weather while we're there. B)

@2020pinktogo - The kiddie pool sounds like a viable option. :D

Oh I can picture it now me and the neighbors huge dog having a soak. Lol You would think the neighbors dog belonged to me as she is my side kick when I'm outside.

I had planned to do yard work again, but it rained. I was actually disappointed. Eating well has given me energy to want to do work. I'm reorganizing stuff in the garage again and will be making another run to Goodwill.

I had a good Sunday. I joined the latest Game of Thrones challenge which started and it was Ironman in my hometown so I got in 40 minutes of walking up and down to go and watch certain stages. After work I hung out with my friends cheering on my sports massage therapist as she completed the event! For the first time ever I felt like it would actually be possible to do the ironman, not that I want to, but it's nice to realise that I could actual do it, if I wanted to. I think I will aim at doing some triathlons in the next season!
