Introducing myself ✌

Hello everyone! My name is Ashley. I'm 27 years old and like most everyone I started at over 300 pounds. Starting weight 349.7 current weight 299.8. I am down 49.9 pounds since January 1st 2016. I have worked hard my first three months and plan to lose all my weight naturally. I don't really believe in quick fixes. I know plenty of people who have had weightloss surgery just to gain it back. I feel like for me it wouldn't work at all. I have a history of over eating. So I need to change that about myself to lose weight and be healthy. I'm doing really well so far! I eat clean and I exercise. Which has worked wonders so far and really isn't that hard! I don't get on the forums everyday but I log everyday. So feel free to add me if you like! Here are my progress photos so far. January 1 2016- April 1 2016. Out of the the 300s ☺️

Awesome work Ashley, you can really see the changes!
May I ask a question? What does the term 'eat clean' mean? I've seen several people say it but I'm not sure what it means. Clearly its working well for you, and I'd love to hear more (and pinch some ideas if I can, haha).0 -

My understanding of eating clean is eating whole unprocessed foods. So nothing out of a box and only canned items that have no preservatives or other added garbage. To eat super clean would be only fresh organic veggies grown locally and fruits and meats and dairy that are grass fed and organic and free range. Personally I eat as clean as I can within my budget. My eggs are cage free organic high omega 3 but my chicken is currently standard supermarket chicken most of the time. Also the only grass fed steak in my area is like 15 bucks a pound. When I used to live I could get grass fed ground beef for 6.99 a pound. I don't eat much red meat these days though anyway.0

Ah, got it, thanks for explaining.
I'm not sure my budget would allow me to stick to such a diet. Things that are organic or the like are, more often than not, a fair bit more expensive, so for now I'll have to stick to eating slightly unclean, ha ha.
The one thing I do spend a little more on though is cage free eggs though, and I at the moment I can only afford meat a couple of times a week at most, so its working out nicely for me!0 -
Thanks everyone! I'm gluten intolerant so most boxed or processed items are out. I stick to mostly meat, veggies, nuts and occasionally fruit and chocolate lol. I do eat dairy such as yogurt a tiny bit of cheese and milk. Those things are processed but I try to avoid as many processed foods as possible. My diet is high protein low sugar low carb. I don't eat anything with added sugar. Natural sugars that come in dairy or fruit is ok. But even when I cheat and eat chocolate it's sweetened with Stevia. Sugar is my main enemy and knowing that I avoid it like the plague. I have a health Instagram feel free to follow it for food ideas or inspiration! A.bly_project_health0
