Delivery driver? Don't buy a Fitbit!

So I work for FedEx. Was real happy with my Fitbit for three months. THEN I noticed this thing adds steps when driving. The last 3 months of my data...means nothing! Totally inaccurate. No I can't just "log my driving miles" I make about 150 stops a day, at a very fast pace. Very disappointed that Fitbit can charge what they do for a pedometer, with such a major glitch. Just a warning to any FedEx/Ups or any other fast pace delivery drivers that are considering buying one.

I just learned yesterday not to wear my fitbit on a motorcycle. I got 10,000 steps and about 500 calories for a two hour ride!

If you are referring to a flex, charge, charge hr, etc that you wear on the wrist that is a known issue. There is an app I think it is called Drive that helps adjust for drives, works for most people but as a delivery driver, it probably won't help you. You might want to get a device that attaches to your clothing, as I am sure you get in a lot of short bursts of steps all day long. The data would be more reliable.

    Good luck.

The app is called Drivebit. For a delivery driver, it would be one more thing you would have to do every time you stop and then every time you start again. Even if you kept your phone right by your driver's seat, plugged in with the screen set to stay on, so you just had to reach over and touch it, it would probably be too inconvenient. But, for people who drive quite a bit, but less intermittently, I'm sure it is a great solution.

Honestly, I had more of an issue with bumpy rides wearing my One than my ChargeHR.

Does it count steps because you are standing in a moving vehicle? Or does sitting have the same effect?

Actually I am never standing while the vehicle is moving. I am the only one in the truck, so it would be disastrous if I tried to! Lol
Yes, I'm just referring to when I am sitting and driving.
