Curious question for those who stopped phen

When you stopped and said "the weight came back" was it mostly water weight or was it fat? If it was fat, do you think it's possible to diet and keep the weight at bay or did the fat creep back on even when you continued dieting? Also, would you recommend taking the phen every other day or even just twice a week so your body has a little help but may not rely on it?
Thanks!

I took a half dose for 3 weeks, sometimes skipping a day here and there since I had problems sleeping. It's only been a month or 2, but I haven't had any weight regain. I've actually lost a few more lbs on my own by tracking my food intake on MFP, continuing strength training, and continuing the low carb/high protein diet that my dr recommended. This pill is simply an appetite suppressant. Good luck!

Just taking the pill itself does not make you lose weight. It is an appetite suppressant so it helps you not be hungry all the time... when you stop taking the pill, it is just a matter of not going back to bad eating habits. As long as you keep logging your food and stay within your calorie goal you will be fine :)

Thank you both! I am going to do a lower carb/clean eating starting today. I know I feel better when I stay away from sugars and processed foods but I also have a very hard time resisting them! Hopefully the phen will help me bypass those craving and help me pick up my energy level, giving me the jump start I need!

I had good experience in the past with not gaining it back. I know you have read my other post, but gained 8 pounds in about 8 days, when coming off this time. A few pounds was water, so I am up 5 pounds now. It is finally steadied off, but it was scary. I'm realistic in that I know I was eating more, but I was logging, and it definitely was not enough to gain as fast as I did. I hope it didn't mess with my metabolism, some how.

That's what I am afraid of! My metabolism isn't what it use to me as it is!! I'm not too sure I like phen. I am on the older side (50) so I worry about health effects. I love the energy I'm getting as far as getting things done and I seem to stay more focused on tasks that need to be completed. My appetite is under control and I have no desire to binge eat sweets. On the flip side I am finding I can't mentally function very well when it comes to conversations with others, my words seemed jumbled. I just can't find the right words to express what I want to say. That makes it very difficult for me to even think about taking it tomorrow when I'm at work and need to be able to communicate...anyway, I would hate to go though all this and gain it right back. I also want to take it the right way. So frustrating. I would like to lose 40 lbs but would be happy at 30.
