Bear with me here while I try to explain. Today was my heaving lifting day. I set my Vivoactive to inside walk. I did my strength training. I also wore my HRM during this time. It was logged as 300 calories. Now, a few years ago, I used to wear a Bodymedia and a HRM. During this time, I found it was more accurate to take my HRM calories and divide them in half to match up to the Bodymedia. My question is, should I divide the calories burnt during this session in half or just keep them at 300? My goal is to lose some body fat.

I usually take the calorie count and then delete my resting calories. I take my BMR and divide that by 24 to figure out how many calories I burn in an hour, just sitting. Then I delete those from the calories burned during an activity. Not sure if this is proper or not, but it seems to make sense to me.
