How was week 1 for you? Did you get off to a good start

Week 1 was still a flop for me. :(
Even though I burned over 3500 calories per my calculations I have been having an impossible time losing weight this last month and still fluctuated from 162.6-163.8 through the week (also have fluctuated between 162.4-164.8 all month). Even with the calorie deficit I ended the week at 163.4. This is how we prove water weight is a thing and plateaus exist I guess.
I think I need to focus on limiting to <1300 consumed calories with 1200 of those as healthy calories this month. Maybe that refocus might help...

Starting weight 4/1: 162.8
Week 1: 4/8: 163.4 (goal was 161.2)
Week 2: 4/15:
Week 3: 4/22:
Week 4: 4:29:
Week 5: 5/6:
Week 6: 5/13:
Week 7: 5/20:
Week 8: 5/27:
Week 9: 6/3:
Week 10: 6/10:
Week 11: 6/17:
Week 12: 6/24:
Final weigh in: 7/1:

*sorry for the long post up front*

Hey - I'm starting a little late because I left for vacation on April 1st and got back this past Friday. But I have been weighing myself when I can so I can put in my weight :)

I had a great vacation traveling Japan (I live in Japan right now so it's not too much to travel). I had 2 amazing things happen during my vacation:

1.) I ran my first marathon! This was the reason for taking vacation now - my marathon was up in a northern area of Japan so I flew up there on the 1st to run the race on the 3rd. It was a slow marathon - meaning it wasn't timed (though I had my Garmin, haha) and they had things to do at the rest stops. It was a great day and a great race. If you ever find yourself near Tokyo in early April and you want to do a 5k, 10k, half, or full marathon I highly recommend it. It's called the Eco Slow Marathon Inba. Took me 6.5 hrs of moving (7.5 hrs after crossing the start line, but I paused my Garmin if I stayed at the aid stations to do things, didn't pause if I was just stopping for water/food).

2.) I managed to lose weight on vacation! I have never done this before. I'm sure the marathon helped, and then lots of walking as I visited various cities (Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima). However I chose some not so great food choices so I figured I would just stay the same (and I would have been happy with myself for that. I wanted to enjoy my vacation). But I got home and weighed myself 2 days in a row and it looks like I lost 1.4 lbs!

    MFP SW: 178
    CSW: 164.4
    Week 1: 163.0 (Yay  )

I still have a few more days off before I go back to work. I go back on Friday. I wanted to have some days to do laundry, cooking, and have some relaxing time after the go-go-go of visiting cities and wanting to get all the touristy stuff in. Hoping to get back into running slow and short distances this week. I've been walking >10,000 steps each day on vacation except for 1, so I'm not doing nothing, but no running yet. Don't want to push myself too fast.

@momto2lovelykids - that's awesome! Those good habits are already paying off. I sometimes do that too - work on my habits and while I still weigh myself I don't get upset if I fluctuate or stall. Those good habits will help in the long run.

Boo! Week One weigh in and I went backwards! Oh well, it seems like two steps forward and three steps back. That's why we are giving ourselves a decent timeline to reach the goal!

Recently I've been struggling with weekends and weight gain. I don't know why because I'm on the go doing things more than during the week, exercising, and stay within my calories. I'm actually up from my MFP Friday weigh in. Still have a loss though.

Having a slow start to this challenge! I am finding like you LadyScorpio67 that I am doing better during the week but I am always up on Saturdays at the end of our weekend (I live in the middle east so have fri/sat weekends). I get the wire taken out of my toe today so hoping to be able to be more active next week even if it is just gentle walking. I really miss my kickboxing class it is such a motivator to stay on track with the eating.
