pain at the base of my tibia during long runs--help 30k in 3 weeks!!

having a strange pain at the base of my tibia during longer runs. I had it during my 24km run sunday- thought it was just from the distance. yesterdays 5k was pain free- but today during my 8k it was noticeable again. advice? planning to take rest of the week off and go for a 26 on monday. and then taper til the 30.

Does it hurt when you press on it? If it is a localized pain, it could be a stress fracture.

No pain with pressure. Can't actually "get" to where the pain is. It's feels like it's under the tibia in the middle of my ankle

If it has been nagging for weeks, then it is probably time to see the orthopedic. MRI might tell you what it is or at least exclude some things.

Definitely get it checked out! I had something similar and ended up having to stop running for two months last fall. The injury itself was painful, but so was not being able to run. I've been back running now for almost four months, and so far so good. I've been putting more time into injury prevention, which has helped.
