When I was saying that nobody will be left behind, I meant it.
We have to get to know each other a little.
Do you want to do it or stay anonymous?

Hi my name is Mitsi. I am 32 years old. I am (deep intake of breath) 219.4 lbs and my first goal is to get to 200. I can't wait to get to know everyone and to cheer you on as we hash all this out together.6

Yay! I figured out how to get into the group! I'm Valerie, I'm a chef, and I'm six feet tall and *was* 247 when I started logging stuff here. I had lost down to 241.6 before I left home to work. I cook in a remote man camp for oilfield workers on the North Slope in Alaska. I make tons of yummy bad foods (I'm the breakfast cook/baker) but on the other hand I have access to a huge salad bar that somebody else preps, and there are usually healthy options for meals. Also we have a gym in the camp. Tools are available--I just have to use them6

Hi, I'm Karen. I am about 5'5" and I have a goal of 135ish lbs. I am currently 153lbs. I don't usually struggle losing the weight . Maintenance is a different story. I really do well when I am in a group and can cheer/encourage others. We are all going to reach our goals!!!!3

After I moved out of mom and dad's shortly after I started eating out almost all the time and putting whatever I want in my mouth. I got up to 193 and just sobbed about it. Well now its time to buck up and do something about it! I'm 188lbs and 5'5 and want to reach 150 by the end of October for my big family cruise!

Hi friends
I'm Lisa, from upstate NY. I'm 53, and 216.5 pounds in a 5 foot 4 inch frame.
I started in again January but my heart wasn't in it. March is really when I began, since then I have lost 10 pounds.
Its gonna be slow for me to lose, I don't get as much exercise as a want and need. I have a knee replacement scheduled for June 13. I want to get as much off as possible.4 -
Hello,
I joined MFP a while back, using it on-and-off, but have never participated in a group. I joined my first group earlier this morning, but it doesn't appear to be active. When I came across this group, and read some of your posts, I got excited! I look forward to being part of the fun and encouragement that we can offer each other.
My name is Maggie. I am 51, and 5'2." My goal is to lose 30-35 lbs. I lost 17 last year, and managed to gain them all back, plus tax.
I'm married, have three adult children and currently care for my parents full-time. (Stress)
Looking for friends who would like to walk with me on this journey. (You'll notice I didn't say run! Lol!)3 -
Hello everyone,
I'm Shawna, from Toronto, Canada, 27 years old, and stand at 5'6". My heaviest weight was about 180lbs. In 2014, thanks to MFP, I was able to drop 30lbs and get down to 150.
At the beginning of 2015 I dropped to 146, where I felt happy. But unfortunately, towards the end of the year, I fell into depression and begun eating my feelings.
I restarted my weight-loss journey on April 7th 2016. I work out at the gym 4 or more times per week for 45-75 mins per session, and incorporate plenty of water, fruit and vegetables into my diet. Since then, I have lost 6lbs, I am currently 168lbs. My goal is to get down to 140 by July 1st (lose approx. 10lbs per month). I finally feel committed and ready to get the body I deserve, and boy do I feel it coming!!3 -
Hi everyone,
My name is Alyssa! I'm 23 years old, 5'7" and currently weight 209.8 pounds. My heaviest weight (that I know of) was 235 in April 2015. I started switching to drinking iced green tea (no sweetener) every day rather than my Starbucks lattes and when I started law school in the fall, I was 225.
I got down to like 218 and was right back up to 226 when I decided to use MFP at the end of February (a close friend has lost 76+ pounds).
Anyways, I'm a full time student and have a goal weight of 150 by end of December of this year in time for my big family vacation (60 pounds to go!). It's a hefty goal, but I'm loving how motivated I am!4 -
We will do it!
60 lbs will be gone!1 -

Heya everyone!!
I'm Krissy. I've been a member of MFP for four years but never really used it until recently. I'm 28, with three kiddos ten and under. Between the age of 15 and 24 I weighed just about 200 lbs, then the past four years it slowly increased to the 250s. I'm lost a bit and am down to 241. My long term goal is 150lbs.3 -
Hi, I'm Phyllis. I'm 36 from southern New Jersey. I've been on MFP for a couple years, off and on but have taken logging food and exercise seriously at the end of last year. I am currently 263 pounds, looking to lose 30 pounds by my birthday (July 31st). I'm into clean eating and recently cut out flour, sugar, and alcohol from my diet.3

I didn't read the instructions when I posted--I gave you the start weight (247) and current (241.6) but I didn't say we are aiming for 165. So, 82 pounds total. I set a goal of 2 pounds a week. This should happen by January 15, 2017.

Hi friends! My name is Olivia, I'm 25, 5'6", used to be in stupidly good shape, and I recently moved across the country for a new job. I lived in NM for 3 years working at a copper mine as a metallurgist and I'm now in WI working at a paper mill as a process engineer. I put on a lot of weight at the mine to the point a few coworkers asked me about it outside of work to see if everything was okay. Now that's a hell of a wake-up call. Gained/lost doing all the stuff that's bad for you, and I knew was bad for me, but I'm in a better place (both physically and mentally), and looking to drop the weight and be an athlete again.
Started out somewhere around 200lbs (probably higher, I avoided mirrors and scales for awhile), at 185lbs, and looking to get to 160lbs. No time frame, really, I don't need that added pressure on myself. I am planning on doing my first half marathon this fall though! I'm also working my way towards a full blown vegetarian diet. I'm at about 80% right now, mostly because stuffed crust buffalo chicken pizza is just so freaking good, hah.
Let's everyone kick *kitten*, take names, and get to our goals in a healthy and safe manner!3 -
Right then! Call me Belle.. I am 32, 5ft5 and currently weigh 204lbs. I hit my highest about 13 years ago at 218lb.. I managed to lose it all right down to my lowest adult weight at 140lb.. I would love to be there again.. Over my late 20's to now I have varied from about 160lb to 180lb but due to meds and having to be inactive.. I almost reached my largest ever again a few months ago.
I have already lost 8lb in 3 weeks so I am well on the way, but know it's a long haul and not looking forward to having to do it all over again as i've done it so many times before... <sob>
I AM looking forward to getting back into all my clothes again, feeling confident, more energetic, happier...and last but quite important - getting up the stairs without my knees giving way.. lol (Not good for someone in their early 30's)
I'm glad to be joining what looks to be a very supportive group - well done Stella!!3 -
Hi all!! My name is Samantha and I am 43 years old, 5"2, and 152 pounds. My goal is to be toned and fit and weigh somewhere between 125 - 130 pounds. I'm really excited about being in this group because I can use all the help and support I can get. I have absolutely noone is my immediate circle who is on a journey to a healthier lifestyle. I feel alone sometimes in my journey so these groups are everything to me. Let's crush these goals and get ready to be summertime fine!!4

Battle ropes and arc trainer are my new loves. I really want to feel good in my body. I want to get family pics done for the first time. As of now, I take the pictures. I want to feel okay naked. 12 years with my husband and I still undress in another room and shirt never comes off for...well..yeah.
Do not let me fall off. Please! Last time I did this I went from 182 to 149, and then I just slowly let it all fade away and now bigger than ever. I loved pizza and mt dew than my health5 -

Hi Kim, I am so happy that you are here with us, you are a very positive person and you are willing to participate in any group discussions or giving all nice comments! I believe in karma , so your life is beautiful no matter what bc you deserve it!
And what's 40? Kids age
I will b 60 in a month and idk how I will deal with it. Don't want to say like everybody says"what's 60? It's new 50" bull crap, it's not! But I think I will feel better about myself when those extra pounds will be gone.0
