Why I am doing the challenge.

This week ends!!
This week ends my constant need to overindulge in food. I eat way too much, when I see a lot of food all I can do is just eat as much of it as possible. That's not good for me, I need to get a jump on this before my genetically predisposed diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure catches up to me. Although to be perfectly honest I don't think it's genetics as much as it is what we eat. If some people can live to be 95 years old in my family and yet others are dying at 40. There has to be a reason, maybe a better lifestyle, healthier eating and more exercise can help me to stay away from those conditions. This weekend I will log in when I eat, how much of it I eat and how I feel when I eat. Try to figure myself out to know why I eat the way I do.
This week ends my sedentary lifestyle. I don't move enough and I need to face that and change that. So I've made a commitment that in the next 90 days I will move more. If 30 minutes is all it takes to a healthier me then I'm going to try it. Nothing to lose but a few hours and everything to gain by being healthier.
This week ends my lying to myself, telling myself that I'm eating healthy when I'm not. Sure I can act like I eat a lot of vegetables all the time but that still doesn't cancel out all the preservatives that I've been putting into my body. Preservatives are full of salt and sugars that are not good for my body and can contribute to the before-mentioned diseases I'm trying to avoid. That's easier said than done considering so much of our food are full of preservatives. So I am committing to cutting out as much preservatives that I can from my diet. It's going to be hard finding the time to fit in making myself extra meals, fitting in exercise time and making my health a priority. That's probably going to be the toughest part of this challenge making my health an important part of who I am. But I'm going to do it because my health is important.
Anybody else want to say why they're doing this challenge?

I want to get fit and healthy for my children. In my family we have a lot of young people diagnosed with heart problems and diabetes. I want to break that chain1
