Non Scale Victories

Context: stressed, anxious, frustrated and angry with myself for misplacing and I suspected losing a hand written wedding invitation. Husband overseas wanted to know dates so he could book flights for us.

NSV for me is walking past treats my mum has bought us from ireland n australia without eating any. Multiple laps past them during hunt. Sure, easy to do when calm but my body was screaming hungry, feed my a treat, which I recognised as fake hunger and ignored. Even ate a herb to distract myself. Oddly, worked. BTW, invite found in car! Salisbury Cathedral in July. V nice.

One of my fitness goals has been to run a mile without walking. I achieved it today at the hotel on a treadmill in 13:04. Not very fast but feels good. I have been at a work conference. Ate too much but exercised a lot. +11000 steps yesterday walking and 10000 today plus 11 miles on a bike in two rides.

I went shopping yesterday and purchased size 14 Capri Pants! My 16s were way too big! I took a friend with me so I could get an honest opinion. They almost felt tight to me, but she said they looked great. Guess I am not used to having pants that fit properly.

I decided I wanted to go buy some pants as a way to reward myself and also figuring they might be on sale before all the summer clothes made there ways out. I went in looking to buy a size 10 (I started at size 12) and when I did, I decided I shouldn't buy tons of new pants. The 10s fit loosely! If I keep going, I think I might be able to get in an 8! #NSV for sure :)
