Mother's Day Challenge $500
Spoke to daughter in New York and son in Kentucky, on the phone. Today was a travel day, returning from the National Epiphany meeting in S. Carolina, so I had every meal in a different state and snacks in the air! Breakfast in S. Carolina; lunch during stopover in Chicago, IL and dinner with a friend here in California.

Well it wasn't Mothers Day in the UK - but I did spend the day with my family, enjoying tidying up the garden before having a bbq!

This was a great family day!! Our day started out with a family breakfast made by my dear husband! Sean and I both had to work (we work together) but had a delicious family dinner when we came home. I received the most heart felt cards and my children surprised me with a mother's ring which I have wanted for a long time!! I can't tell you how excited I was, and still am to receive such a beautiful gift!! Some of you will recall that I lost the diamond in my engagement ring almost three years ago at work. Imagine we work in a 75,000 square ft show room, I could have lost it anywhere. The following morning I used a flash light hoping to catch a sparkle from the diamond and much to my amazement I found the diamond in under five minutes. Totally miraculous!! Anyway, I have had the ring in safe keeping score ever since, well Sean surprised me with my repaired ring on Mother's Day. It looked so beautiful I couldn't 't believe it was my ring!! Needless to say I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful family!!
(For extra credit) We invited sean's brother to come to dinner (he is going thru a divorce) He works with Sean and I, we'll last Wednesday evening we had to call peramedics as he started having chest pains and he spent the next three days in the hospital. It has been a rough time for him lots of stress, had to sell his home, buying a new home but delays forced him to put everything he owned into storage and stay with one of his brothers. Needless to say it was great to have him here with our family, and to help take his mind off his current situation.2 -
