Not sure if anyone has ever or is going through a phase where it feels like everything you eat and even drinking water causes you discomfort? Had 2 1/2 oz baked tilapia and 1/2 hour later I drank water and had that discomfort -- when will this go away????

Oh boo! I tend to wait closer to an hour before drinking. If I drink water with too big of a sip or too close together or too cold I get a pressure feeling but it subsides rather quickly. Have you tried altering the temperature of your water? I'm still on purees for another week so I haven't really tried "food" yet, just smooshy eggs is as close as I have come. So far, fingers crossed, haven't had any issues with any of the purees.0

I haven't altered the temperature of my water but maybe I will try that...before surgery I guzzled water like crazy.
Eggs have been good for me but think I had so much ricotta bake when I was on puréed food that I can stomach the sight of it. I have a freezer full of it! I do like hard boiled, scrambled eggs and egg salad. Fish seems okay so far but I only was able to eat 2 1/2 oz of tilapia.
I hope you have better luck than me! According to my doctors schedule I can go back to "regular" food next week but honestly I am not ready...0 -
Eh. When my stomach gets irritated it can ruin the whole day. Temperature definitely makes a difference for me. I cannot do really ice cold stuff, if I do ice cold and gulp, I end up with a brain freeze in my stomach and I'm done for the day.
When I eat, I really have to pay attention to when I should drink. I always wait the minimum 30-minutes, but if I'm still full I wait longer or I know I'll be miserable.
Definitely try smaller sips. I was a guzzler, and now I can drink more normally, but not guzzling. It takes time to get used to. Also, depending on how I feel, I have to control how much I take in. Meh.0 -
Definitely good tips. I will go warmer with water and will try smaller sips0

hope your feeling better soon!

Thank you! Had salmon last night and ate a small amount of it, probably around 2 1/2-3 oz. I am definitely finding that I get filled up more quickly when I eat straight protein first. Not gonna lie - have slipped up and had junky stuff - Inlet my emotions get the best of me and ate stuff that is not smart to eat but doesn't bother my stomach.
I have decided to try and get out and walk the dogs more frequently throughout the day to give myself breaks, and to help work off some of the crap.
Will be good when I get back to my routine and being all of my food to work.
I made the Skinnytaste crock pot creamy tomato soup the other day and will have some of that for lunch..it was really good if you like tomato soup..will have that with some cheese. Also the Chobani Simply 100 is good0
