I am 38 and have already had a hysterectomy. I have been on phentermine for a month now and have lost 10 pounds. The doctor refuses to give me hormones, because they could be linked to several female cancers. My cravings were out of the roof. We moved four months ago. Before that, I was taking a drug similar to phentermine. I lost 15 pounds. I weaned myself off the drug and kept the 15 pounds off. So, I am trying phentermine this time. I don't have a lot of the side effects. I just have dry mouth and it curved my cravings. I don't want to use it long, but i have 40 pounds to go. Feeling optomistic...

Hi and welcome! Make sure you're still logging here at MFP and sticking to your calories. Also make sure you eat enough. I was hovering at 800 calories today until I finally felt like eating again just a while ago.

Let us know how you do!
