New fitbit user question re syncing

Hubby bought me a fit bit yesterday. Today is my full day wearing it. I've synced it to MFP but am wondering one or two things (I'm sure I'll come up with more lol). Oh and I'm trying to lose the last few lbs too.
So I went out running this morning. I set my fit bit to record it. So my question is: on MFP under exercise I now have a bit that says. Fit bit adjustments (or something like that). So do I also record my run on MFP under exercise or it that recorded as part of the Fit bit sync?

Fitbit records it and any other step-based activity as part of the sync. If you log the run as well as letting the Fitbit sync, you are double-logging your run.
Check out this thread if you haven't already. It should help you get everything set up properly and answer any questions you have like this one:

GalaxyDuck has it about right (especially about reading the FAQ) except for one thing... If you log the run in MFP you won't double-log it, but you will overwrite the better data that your Fitbit has for the run with a constant burn rate based on what you entered in MFP. So, don't do it. Log your food in MFP, let your Fitbit track your exercise (and manually log exercise that your Fitbit can't track in Fitbit because Fitbit uses a better algorithm).0

I read somewhere to log fitness through Fitbit only and food through MFP, I've never had a problem
