I ran my last half marathon 6 weeks pregnant. Now I am 6 weeks pp and having such a hard time. My pace is soo slow and I cant seem to make it past 3 miles. I thinks im having a hard time mentally. I stayed fairly fit throughout and am only 12 lbs heavier than what I was.
Any advice?

Feeling like I'm not going anywhere or (really) dreading my runs is usually what tells me I need to take a break from running. I'll spend a couple weeks working out any other way (but stick to a regular schedule so I don't get used to being sedentary) and the running itch tends to come back naturally.0 -
Did you run through your pregnancy?
Try not to worry about your pace, but if it is mental then you're just going to have to put your big girl pants on and decide that you're going to run 4 miles. Doesn't matter if you end up walking more than running, you just need to get past the block.
Maybe signing up to a 10k race would help motivate?0 -
I think having a baby is a big thing to recover from physically (disclaimer: I have not had a baby myself). You're more likely to be low in iron, making running harder, and you will be using a lot of extra energy if you are breastfeeding. If you want to get back into running I think you need to just accept that it's going to be physically harder for a while, embrace the slower pace, slow down even more, and take it gradually.1
