Yesterday's George Hill Challenge bike race was a blast. 100+ entrants, 3 of them my kids. My oldest daughter won a silver medal in the women's 35-59 year old bracket! er time was 38 seconds (short race...) Fun time with other of my family watching, and we went to a diner for lunch afterwards. I had a greek omelette, which I ate, but I left most of the homefries and toast, and ordered the butter on the side and only used a little.

The race commemorates Major Taylor, 1899 world velodrome champion who lived and trained in Worcester. The hill is probably the steepest hill in downtown, and he would ride around the block to train, challenging other bikers for the best time. Some nifty stories about the man here, if you're interested... http://www.majortaylorassociation.org/who.shtm

    Mornin' gents.

The George Hill Challenge does sound fun and congrats to your DD, Mike!

Down 1/2 a pound after the wedding weekend in NYC. Did more drinking than eating and did a lot of walking.

Continues to be hot and humid here in NW CT, but I don't think we have had an index of 102 yet.

    Be OP ;-)

Good Morning! Mike that sounds like a fun challenge and weekend. We spent the last day of our vacation in SF volunteering at the Avon Breast Cancer Walk closing ceremonies, and then met my son for a late lunch down on the Embarcadero area. Longer day than planned and racked up 16K steps just being on my feet and getting around the area. Looks like I broke even weight wise for the vacation week, which I will gladly take. Back to work today.

Morning Men. Maintaining a same weight but can't seem to lose any more....have to lok at the beer consumption. Spent a good part of the week end stripping wall paper (with a steamer) in a room with no AC....thinks I will get a credit in Hell for time served. Be well all and stay cool.

Good morning. Third week working in Las Vegas. Sound good but working out of Nellis AFB in 105 to 119 deg heat is not fun. Also getting tired of the Las Vegas glitz. I don't even want to track my weight while I'm here. What happens in vegas WILL stay in vegas. August will be 3 weeks working in Palmdale; kinda like Vegas without the glitz. Be well all.

    Good Morning!

Yesterday, I lost my Fitbit. I am only slightly (OK, majorly) freaking out. Now I'm not sure what my next step (no pun intended) will be! Ugh!!!! I cannot believe how much I have come to rely on that wrist band. I shouldn't be so obsessed with it, but I am, so there it is.

Steve, if you have a smart phone, it probably has a built in app that counts steps. Or can download one.

Mike, I've used an app like that before. I was also used to Fitbit auto sending information like my weight to WW and MFP. I also liked the sleep feedback that Fitbit gives. I'll limp along for awhile, and possibly upgrade my Fitbit in the next several weeks. Mine was 2 years old, so of course the technology is WAY outdated, and an upgrade is required.

I love my vivofit 2. If I lost it I would probably find the money somewhere to replace it. I love the way it motivates me throughout the day and how it interacts with MFP via Garmin Connect. Very flexible tool.

    Good Afternoon,
Fitbit has an app that connects to phone that will help find where it is lost, do not know how it works. But I do follow it and can become accessed with getting exercise in.
Mike, sounds as you are back on track; CONGRATS.
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam I am
