I surpassed my step and water goal, ate within my calories and did my usual (10) Sets of 20 Squats (10) Sets of 12 Lunges and (10) Sets of 30 Calf Raises. Then after work was chest day with hubby !

Treadmill, water, decluttering... I've decided the next few weeks will be madness and not going to try to make it to gym. I'll do treadmill and work on some stress management. Reach my step goal and play with 'maintenance' for a week or two! Need to be realistic! :)

I surpassed my step and water goal, ate within my calories and did my usual (10) Sets of 20 Squats (10) Sets of 12 Lunges and (10) Sets of 30 Calf Raises at work throughout the day. I came home and did 10 minutes of hardcore abs (ouch) then for the first time ever I decided to do some Squats and Lunges with weights ! I did (2) Sets of 20 Lunges with a 20lb dumbell in each hand and (2) Sets of 20 Squats with a 20 lb dumbell in each hand. WOWSERS, that's a whole different level of muscle fatigue !! Lol

Haha oh yeah, those with weights hurt!!!
Our boys' soccer season started today.... Gotta love Texas, In 100* temperatures, it's insane! So it means sitting in the soccer fields for three hours twice per week, I need to pack my tennis shoes and go for a walk then!!!
Doing well, my eating is still cautious as I still feel irritated easily with greasy food, starches, and spicy... So, I guess it is helping continue with the weight loss... Plus honestly, my portions have gotten so small, I am not even hungry any more... I notice when I get up too fast and I feel dizzy (which is not nice either)! Now I just need to remember to eat more often... Surely once school starts again, routine will kick in once more!
I'm wondering how @LizSmith55 is getting along with her P90X, beasties or frienemies? :P do speak uuuupppp...
And still missing miss @Kerryatoon !!
Glad to read good progress from you @heatherc369 ! You keep me motivated and my *kitten accountable, still!

OH MAN!!! I've missed you ladies! I got into a bit of a funk and was pretty much all I could muster to deal with life so I took a break from here for a bit. No excuses really.. just needed a break. Sorry if I worried you.. and so glad you're all still here doing the deal! I'm back!

So here's what's up with me:(sorry its kindof long, I need to write down my progress, where I'm at so I can see it clearly too)

    1. I'm celebrating 58 days smoke free today! WOOT! It's been emotionally difficult as I have been 100% nicotine free for almost 4 weeks. Brain chemistry is a bugger but its getting better every day. I'm still doing it and proud of my accomplishment.

    2. I'm still eating at "maintenance" although I've not been tracking the last couple weeks. So my best guess is that I've been eating around 2200 cals on average daily. It's been nice to not be stressing or obsessing around food and I've noticed that many of my good habits continued to be a part of my life which is awesome since I was aiming for a lifestyle change that would be sustainable.

    3. I've been eating at estimated maintenance around 2000-2200 cals for 4 weeks. I've gained 6 lbs in the last 7 weeks which I expected during this metabolism reset and quitting smoking. I'm at 156 now and I'm really not too freaked out (which surprises me).

    4. I am still lifting heavy at the gym and have continued to make gains on my weights lifted. I'll post my last workout later today.

    5. My metabolism reset is meant to last 8-12 weeks and then I'll be introducing a small cut to edge off 1/2 to 1 lb week. So I still have 4-8 weeks left of my reset.. which is nice as I'm enjoying the break.

Since I started at 173lbs I'm pretty happy to be sitting at 156 right now. Still transitioning my way of thinking about my goals from strictly scale weight to strength and appearance goals, its a slow process to change that but I'm committed to this metabolism reset. I never want to eat 1200 cals again.

@NadiaMayl Happy belated 40th Bday to you!!!! Hope your tummy gets better soon!
@heatherc369 congrats on your accomplishments and your new progress pics are BADA**! You're doing so great!
@LizSmith55 Welcome back! Looking forward to sharing the journey with you!

I way surpassed my step and water goal, ate within my calories and did my usual (10) Sets of 20 Squats (10) Sets of 12 Lunges and (10) Sets of 30 Calf Raises. I went into work late today so I got in a 4-mile walk before work and then after work we went to the park and ran and walk and worked out on the little equipment that they have there.

@Kerryatoon Oh don't we know it, sista! Those humpy umphy days in which we just need to slow down our minds and the pressures! Glad to hear the lifestyle changes are getting more and more engrained as routine! But dude, the smoke free, that is AWESOME, knowing the emotional and chemical upheaval that that brings on, and you're still strong and going! Keep it up!
My days wont have much to report, other than my calories are still really good and my water intake is good. Kid 2 bday party on Friday so trying to get that organized! Husband out of town next week for work, so it'll be busy. But all good on my side. Happy to take it easy for two more weeks and then get at it when school's back on!

Hi Girls! Went to gym and here was what I got accomplished yesterday.
I couldn't hit my squat weight that I did on Monday!! Was so pissed ;( So I deloaded a bit and that was fine. I did go up on my Deadlift and held my weight on my OHP. Ate about 2200 yesterday which is good for me.

    Week 12, Total Weeks 12
Warmup Incline treadmill, Sprint/Walk 1/2 mile
Squats 2x5 95 warmup, 5x5 125(tried to go to 130 but failed.. I'll get it next time.)
    OHP 1x5 45 warmup, 5x5 62.5
    Deadlift 1x5 115 warmup, 1x5 155 LIKE A BOSS!

    Accessories (done like a circuit):
    Face Pulls 3x12 60lbs
    Cable Crunch 3x12 130lbs
    6in leg raises 3x12

@heatherc369 you're gettin on those weights! Love it!!!
@NadiaMayl Hope you enjoyed your mini's birthday party.. glad you're enjoying the break. Dang my kid went back to school the 1st.. seems like summer break gets shorter and shorter here.

@Kerryatoon don't stress on the deloading, you'll get to increase and get going, it's just your body signaling to be careful! You're still doing great!

I honestly wish summer vacations were shorter, June 3rd - Aug 20 in TX, too long! They get brain-sluggish, and soooo bored! I think 2-4 weeks shorter would be great! Hehe they disagree, though!

2's bday was a success, he had a blast. He turned 10 but still wanted a piñata, Nerf gun war, and soccer... So just a bunch of boys running wild in the house! Some, who came from our old neighborhood, spent the night, which meant sleepless night but board games for grown ups! I, unfortunately, ate like I haven't in 5 weeks, which doesn't say much... 1 slice of pizza, 2 glasses of wine, a micro-bite of Dutch apple pie made by Dutch hubby and I regretted it for 2 hours at bedtime! Not sick, but indigestion and nausea and just yucky! Guess my tummy is still recovering! It was fun anyway! Hubs is out of town for work this week, so I'll be shuttling kids to soccer practices and getting through Middle School orientations on my own..... MIDDLE SCHOOL, when did that happen!

@LizSmith55 don't give up girl, you'll be sore but you'll feel so good as you see progress, which you WILL see!!!

Confession... My initial GW was 155 with the option to evaluate when... I got there and changed it to 150... I am 150.2 now and I 'know' I'm thinner but my brain still plays tricks and makes me feel much much heavier than I am! When I hit the 150, I'll readjust for 145 because I think I'll like my look better if I lose a little more, but when does feeling good about yourself become a norm rather than the once-in-a-while?!?! Just wondering how it's working out for you missies?

@NadiaMayl it's funny you say that...as of last October I was 44 lbs heavier...looking AWFUL...feeling AWFUL...I still would like to lose at LEAST 20 more lbs (ideally 30) BUT...I am lighter than I was on my wedding day (by 10 lbs) & about what I weight in m early 30's right now (I am 46 now) & exercising more than I was in my early 30's so I am actually in smaller clothes than I was back then (I guess due to inches) & I STILL feel the same as what you describe. Maybe because I am not at my goal yet? Do you know what I keep saying to myself...now I feel like a "normal" sized mom who wants to dump those 20 annoying lbs. (like MOST Mom's) instead of the ultra FAT mom who is embarrassed at school functions. I can feel super cute some days in some of my new clothes & then still NOT good in others when I can see my still prominent lower gut bulging!!

@NadiaMayl that party sounded fun! And I too am now re-evaluating my goal weight now that I am where I said I wanted to be......I feel like I a have body dis-morphia , I cannot see it in the mirror or feel it, when people point it out I get very uncomfortable and brush it off.....only time I see it is in my side by side progress pics.....I too wonder when I will really "see" and "feel" it.
