    Mornin' BBB.

My sinuses were killing me yesterday AM...but dragged myself out of bed and did some early morning training with Babe and Tess, then took them out on boat for some fun water retrieves. New "load-a-pup" dog boat ladder took the dogs getting used to and was a real pain to strap on existing swim ladder when boat was in water. Gotta figure out a better way to set it up.

Then hustled home to get yard work done before taking DW out for dinner and movie (some artsy fartsy Meryl Streep flick-it was OK).

Today is Babe's day. Wish us luck!

Steph, hope your DH is feeling better. How was visit with your sisters and kids?

Raine, how was pig roast. I love those things. One of these days I will do one.

Dennis, looking forward to vacationing vicariously through your and your DW's cruise.

Sam, how are the new digs coming?

Mary, your tomato plants bearing fruit? I'm getting some real beautiful beefsteak heirlooms. Gotta get some bacon today for BLTs.

    Lisa, miss Mowgli yet?

Skip, 132 days. Impressive. Makes all the aggravation worth it. Good for you!

Kelly...how are ya liking the new beemer? I must be a dog at heart, I like trucks (remember the Nissan commercial-"dogs like trucks"?). But if I was to get a luxury car, it would probably be a Jaguar.

    BBB OP ;-)

Good morning BBB Friends. Do good stuff Babe. Make your Dad proud. DW has been covering rose bushes at night for the last few weeks with trash bags. Today she is installing some screening to do the same thing. I hope it keeps the deer from eating the bushes while we are gone. Skip, I'm hoping it all goes well tomorrow and you and DW can get back to some form of normalcy. Last time I checked 132 days is about 5 months and somehow that sounds longer. Temps should be about 20° cooler where we are going. Looking forward to it.

    Good Morning BBB.
The pig roast was wonderful. DH and I are also friends with the fellow that actually roasted the pig - a Mason brother of DH. There was rain all around but not on our party. Lucky.
Working Jack this morning the I'll help DH get the 24' trailer ready for our trip next week. We have to remove the old vinyl graphics and clean it and then DH will put on new graphics/logo.
Lee - AB will rock today. I'm looking forward to seeing some pics. I hope the sinus issue is gone.
Dennis - you'll have to keep us posted on your cruise travels.
Mary - did you get the storm door installed?
Kelly - are you feeling better today?
Bill - 132 days is impressive - it's even better that the time is behind you.
    Do good out there everyone.

    Morning Gang~

Trying to find someone to come on a Sunday to do the cleaning (drywall dust, drawers, floors, etc) ahead of the inspection tomorrow. The only thing they're cleaner did was windows. Sure wish I could hire MommaMoody! What if I pay your per diem????

AB - good luck today, girl! Can't wait to hear the news.
Raine - our pig roast is next weekend. Can't wait! Glad you had a good time.
Dennis - sounds like the wildlife are well fed in your neck of the woods

Today is prepping final lectures for beginning of semester tomorrow. Teaching 4 classes for three Universities this fall. Me thinks I bit off more than I can chew.....

Have a super day, gang! ~DocSkip

    Morning BBB

Funeral for a friends Dad today, fought Parkinson's for 30 yrs, so made a donation online this morning there in his name. Disease sucks, took a lot out of this man since his late 40's early 50's. Hard on the family too, so sad.

I missed where you're heading Raine? DH will do a great job on putting logo on! Great advertising too! No door yesterday. Installed the remote control for the cathedral ceiling fan in the great room, as we had use of the 10ft ladder a friend brought over to us. So nice now to be able to operate it remotely! Poor SO had it all put back together and it wobbled. Errr, had to go back up there. Switched two blades, and now its perfect. Wheewww.

Doc Skip, I'd so help you today, wish I could. Doubt though the inspector cares much about cleaning... no students looking for some cash work cleaning? That's where I'd check today. Or a couple of neighbor teens ?

Taught our black lab to come up the boat's ladder from the water with no problem, just had to be in the water w/her for a couple times. Was a ski boat thou back deck sat deep, etc. Just got second round of flowers on the plant I plucked early May lol. The other, a few nice size just starting to ripen, and the patio cherry is giving some here and there.

Im onto fall. I picked up six huge garden mums yesterday for 2.99 ea. at Aldi's. I love that place, so many great seasonal finds all the time and have really expanded healthy food choices.

Kelly hope you had fun with your guys Sat at the car beer show!!! And all are feeling a lil better!

Dennis, can't wait to hear all about your cruise, trip of a lifetime! You guys so deserve this !

Sam, hope all is well in your new hood!

    Hello hello
Well I'm really not into cars like most men are but I will have to admit it was fun. The temps were in the low 80s with a drizzly rain. Didn't bother me. $2 16 oz beers to walk and look didn't bother me either. Seeing some very high end cars was pretty nifty. Lotus, Porsche, Ferrari, mccleran, Indy pace cars from the 60s and 70s. Lunch out. Dinner out. All in all a good day with 2 of my men. Ha
Steph. All that shopping is amazing.
Raine. I think I missed where you're going too. Glad the hog roast was fun.
I hope Dennis is getting packed.
Mary. What are your temps now?
We're invited to a hog roast next weekend.
    Hope AB does great today.
    Skip. You can't afford me.

Good afternoon everyone. Still trying to balance school and family time. I intent to get on every morning to check in, but then I get off task. Friday's flood did not last long, it came and went quickly. We were lucky, our part of Kansas City received about .25 inch where downtown had 4-6 inches. Booked a ski trip to Breckenridge over New Years with another family, looking forward to winter.

Glad everyone is doing well. Reading about all the pig roasts is making me hungry! I might just have to go find one and crash it! Have a great week and my goal is to check in every morning this week. I can do it!

It sounds like you were lovin' on your dw, Lee! That's so awesome! You're such a good guy. Going to the movies isn't always about the movie at all ... sometimes it's about being together. That said, there are a BUNCH of movies we want to see, starting with Jason Bourne. Dh has no qualms about admitting to a man crush on him.

Dennis, I missed something ... where are you going? Michigan?

And Raine is getting ready for a trip, too? Where to, my dear?

Steph, I feel your pain about Hobby Lobby. I wanted to go there today, too. I love that place!

Skip and Kelly - SHEESH! You guys are big time!!! I pay my cleaning lady $50 to do 2 1/2 bathrooms and the kitchen. It takes her about 2 hours, usually.

Mary, I'm so sorry about your friend's dad. You are a gem to be there for her! I completely believe that weddings and funerals aren't optional. That said, I feel horrible that I totally forgot about a funeral on Friday. It was one of my receptionists' dfil, and he'd just celebrated his 100th birthday a couple weeks earlier. I'd planned to go, and then it completely slipped my mind. Shoot.

We have friends coming to stay with us from Tuesday through Labor Day ... should be fun! The guy used to live across the street from us, back "in the day" when our neighborhood was close. On Friday we're all going up to stay at a B&B owned by another couple who used to live here. We LOVE them and can't wait to see them again!

And now dh wants me to cut his hair. Hugs to you all!

$50???? Holy cow! Can you send your cleaning lady this a'way??? Ours charges $145 every two weeks! I'm in the wrong biz.....but clearly Kel has it figured out - driving a new Beamer
