Garmin adjusted goal not showing in MFP

Hey all,
Super new to all of this so apologies if this is a basic question. I've searched extensively for an answer to this before posting but could not find one- although I believe it *should* be a simple query.
Basically, MFP is not receiving my adjusted goal from Garmin Connect, so the figures MFP shows me at the end of the day are pretty demotivational.
I am using a Vivosmart HR. Should Garmin be sending an adjustment daily (if there is one)? Or am I being impatient and this is actually updated periodically?
To provide more details: I have been using Garmin/MFP since last Thursday and linked the two accounts immediately. The issue was noticeable on the first day, where I burned around 1000 extra calories from a workout according to my Garmin. Two of the exercises I did, I actually recorded as an activity on my Vivosmart (around 300 calories worth), the rest I just went into the exercise and let the Vivosmart detect what I was up to.
Only the two that I logged manually showed up in MFP that day (the 300 calories worth). The rest did not appear on MFP at all, despite showing as "active calories" on my Garmin Connect app.
I've since noticed that every day, any adjustment from Garmin Connect is not showing up on MFP. So while according to Garmin I am consuming/burning around the correct calorie amount for my targets, MFP shows differently as it's not receiving any Garmin adjustment.
Yesterday, I was out and about and the Vivosmart logged this as 280 active calories, adjusting my daily goal from 1590 to 1870. I actually over-ate a bit and consumed 1919 calories, giving me a total of -49 calories for the day. Not too bad. But these active calories again didn't show up in MFP, so according to MFP I am -330 for the day. Pretty bad.
I'd really like to get this sorted (or know 100% if it can't be) so I am more focused on my goals. Any searches I've done on the topic seems to bringing up answers where people are getting the Garmin Connect adjustments on their exercise page. I am not seeing this at all. Is there something I have overlooked? A setting or a sync button perhaps that pushes the adjustment to MFP?
Hope that all makes sense and thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.
Looking forward to the weight loss and improved fitness

Do you have the Negative Calorie Adjustment turned on?0

Thanks for the the reply CincyNeid. I didn't until earlier today, when I noticed the setting was unchecked. Is this the likely culprit? Unless I'm mistaken this only records when I don't hit my targets, whereas on the first day with exercise I was under the adjusted goal?
Just to add further info as I didn't clarify in the previous post, the Garmin Connect app seems to be pulling everything from MFP just fine, so they are connected. It's the Garmin - to - MFP where the problem lays.

Negative Calories will only reflect on MFP. That data doesn't push back to Garmin.0

Hmm, it looks like the only workaround here is to log any exercise I do as an actual exercise, rather than let the watch detect it. Anything that is being recorded as Active Calories on my Vivosmart is not being pushed to MFP as an adjustment.
I've seen screenshots of people with Garmin Connect Adjustment on their exercise entries though, so I know it exists It's not appearing on mine - still feel like I must be missing something obvious?0 -
Mine did the same for a while and in the end I logged it as a complaint with Garmin. A couple of days later, it was fixed and working.
It's be fine for ages but yesterday, it gave me an extra 1164 calories as a reward for my exercises/steps. That seems very generous0 -
Any chance you can tell me where you sent your complaint please @Pete? I'm still not getting any automatice adjustments0

Daniel, I used this https://support.garmin.com/support/sw/escalateForm
And I've just sent another one off - stupid Vivoactive wiped itself last night, removing nearly 21000 steps and now won't sync and thinks it is the 17 August, no matter how many factory resets I do to it.0 -
Did you ever get it to work Daniel?
I recently came back to MFP because I'm using a Garmin again and noticed the same thing going on - Garmin Connect getting food cals from MFP but MFP was only getting workout info/cals from Garmin Connect. After some playing around in the iOS app version of MFP (I generally use the computer and that option is not available on it) I found a section called "Steps" (it was in the "More" section". I had two options (cuz I use a Withings scale) but I checked Garmin Connect. Ever since then not only do I get my workouts recorded but I also get a Garmin Connect calorie adjustment.0
