It's cool seeing how much most of the UAC team really seems to enjoy doing exercise. Frankly, when I don't get any stretching and cardio for a couple of days, I really miss it.
Nonetheless, here is an irreverent exercise quote for today: "Exercising would be so much more rewarding if calories screamed while you burned them!"
What exercises do you really like?? Share with us.

For YEARS my doctor told me, "keep a food journal and walk." Who knew? These are really the first habits of healthy living success. On those mornings I get up & out at 5a.m., before the world gets super busy, it's great! I get lost in the rhythm of my steps & my breathing. Often times I don't think about anything, which is amazing because I often wake thinking about the dozens of tasks I need to complete during the day. Right now, walking is nirvana.

The opposite of nirvana - BURPEES!!!

In response to Rick's question, I really like spinning and have been doing it for many years. The last few years in my home gym with videos. I have a nice collection and get a good workout.

I take a salsa class once a week (plan to up to two soon). Two hours is an amazing workout and fun.

I made an amazing vegetable stir fry & we had it with brown rice - DELICIOUS! Here's the recipe: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/237740/sesame-vegetable-stir-fry/

    Ingredients
    1 pound broccoli
1/4 pound fresh snow peas, strings removed
    1 red onion, sliced
    3 tablespoons sesame oil
1 red bell pepper, cut into 1/4-inch strips
    2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/4 cup Kikkoman Less Sodium Soy Sauce
    1/2 tablespoon sesame seeds

    Directions
Trim broccoli leaving 1 inch of stem. Cut the remaining stems into small slices. Place broccoli and snow peas in a saucepan of boiling water and cook for 1 minute, drain and rinse immediately with cold water then drain well and set aside.

Heat a large wok or large skillet over high heat. Add sesame oil, blanched broccoli and snow peas, red onion, red bell pepper, and garlic. Stir-fry for 1 minute. Add the snow peas, soy sauce and stir-fry 1 minute longer. Remove from heat and stir in sesame seeds.

Diid I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - my gym routine plus an hour+ of rollerblading at the rink tonight
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes - didn't eat through any exercise calories - something I probably need to watch if that's too little caloric intake

Rollerblading has always been my favorite exercise activity! Skating on quads at the rink when I was young and then discovered inline skates in college. We use a paved towpath in good weather and my brother and I skate weekly at a rink on bargain Wednesday's! XD. And yes those are my skates from tonight - I love K2s!!

    PASS DAY #1
It was an extremely busy day...rain, rain, rain, in addition to working overtime and helping my sister figure out why her car is not working and also going to an appointment.

I hope this will be my only pass day this month...I'm determined!

Exercise- yes, did a 50 minute spin class
Calories- yes, and much better quality of calories today than the past few days
    Track- yes

@intrinsicat - The rollerblading sounds really fun! It has been a while since I did that. The first time I tried, I forgot that there weren't brakes on the toes like the old style of skates. Didn't end well for me that day.

My favorite exercise by far is running on the trails. Love to get away and let my mind go. Great for mind and body all day.

Exercise - yes - hockey training - 2 hours (I ended up coaching as well which was interesting!)
    Tracking - yes
Cals - over again (part of my 3 days of eating too much - did stay under maintenance on this day though so not terrible!)

I love playing sports as my exercise, much more motivating for me than individual stuff. Although I do enjoy running and weights I'm not as consistent with those.
