I am contemplating trying to fundraise for a veteran's organization for next year's NYCM.

I would love to hear some hints/tales from those who have gone the charity raising route.

    I ran for Team in Training the past 2 years. I generally stink at fundraising but I did manage to raise $6000. I found that doing things like car washes really raise money quickly. Also sending letters to everyone you do business with helps.

    I'm currently raising for St. Jude. I'm struggling to come up with ideas also. I like the car wash idea but wouldn't be able to pull it off by myself.
