I really believe and have experienced the truth of this quote:
If you focus on results, you will never change--if you focus on change,you will get results."
A current events example is a personal one. I have set my daily calorie limit at what I know to be my maintenance level. Since I have gotten serious about serving this group, I have lost 2 lbs.

9/15/16 exercise is done Yesterday was tough my whole way of looking at things was turned upside down as the way I have done things for 24 years is now literally tossed out the window and done the opposite way. I just looked at the trainer and said to her OK I don't get it. She goes you don't just memorize it. So all night long I practiced it over and over. I'm not going to lie a few of the young people I trained at my old position are here and they said how is it going and I said OMG I'm not getting such and such and they go me neither when I first got here but then they smiled and said your going to be ok. So we will see how today goes. LOL0

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes (2 long walks this evening. The first to avoid the kitchen before dinner!'it worked)

I am hungry but I am not going to eat! I ate very well today. So I shouldn't be hungry. Getting out of bad habits I guess takes time. They say it takes 66 days to drop a bad habit and start a good one . I am on it.2 -
Did I exercise for 20 minutes? Yes! 45 minute jog at sunset. It was beautiful!
Did I stay within my calorie budget? I made home made chili and used mushrooms instead of beans. It was delish!

It was a beautiful day in Chicago. Tomorrow, I hope to spend the day horseback riding. Weather looks iffy.
Today though:
Walking and Active Stretching for 47 minutes
Calories came in under budget
Tracking was ok.

9/15 yes/yes/yes I know it's going to take a few weeks to get use to the new work schedule lol. It's so much better for my body but my body is going hey aren't we doing a 10 today and a 4 tomorrow. So going to work every day at the same time coming home at the same time is odd. LOL1

I made my exercise yesterday, two fast walks for 20 minutes each, then paced the house with the BF for an additional 30 minutes. I guilt-ed him to upping his step goal from 6k to 10 k everyday. So he was 3500 short last night. I walked with him because I felt bad. I had already made my goal 12500, ended up with almost 16k.
I logged everything, including the yummy pumpkin muffins I made,
stayed under calories for the day.0 -
