I have an opportunity to buy a used one for $400, retail I am told is/was about $1800. Anyone ever owned one and if so what did you think if it?

    New to this group but Yes, I own a Kona Dawg and love it. Its the right blend of all Mountain and strength. It is one of 4 Kona's that range from the Kona Mokomoko (XC) to the Kona Operator (DH). Once I got the Dawg I didn't ride my XC any more. Climbs great and still lets you bomb down challenging trails. I recommended it to a friend of mine and she has taken it with me on the intermediate runs at Whistler Canada Downhill park. Great choice.
