Hello - I am only 9 weeks but have been too sick to work out and have already packed on 11 lbs I had just lost and I am very upset and scared. Looking for friends and support. I am food journaling again even though I am over eating every day in hopes it makes me over eat less. Anybody want to talk to me?

I'm almost 6 weeks and I'm certainly trying to keep my eating under control. Although some days it seems hard even when I'm putting good food into my body it's still more than my allotted calories for the day.

Hello!! I am 36+3 and I remember the first trimester being the hardest for me too. I gained the majority of my weight in the first and second trimesters and then it slowed down. Just do the best you can. That first trimester is brutal. It's not always easy to eat super healthy when you're not feeling the best. I didn't have morning sickness with this pregnancy but had a crazy appetite.
Remember you can always lose the weight after the baby

Hi! I'm 8 weeks today! yesterday and today my appetite has improved but prior to that I just wasn't hungry. I've actually lost 2 pounds, but that's within my normal swing, so I'm considering it maintenance. Cooked vegetables are my aversion right now and SMELLS! I'm trying to keep up with exercising but managing only short runs and walking since I just don't have the energy. Good Luck & feel free to add me...

I don't have the energy to exercise either. Just running after a toddler which I guess counts! Losing weight so I'm the opposite

My doctor always said the official first trimester diet was "Does it sound like it will stay down?".
I wouldn't worry too much about weight gain right now. Just get through the next few weeks. Hopefully the second trimester you'll feel better/not as ravenous. Then you can work on managing your gain for the rest of the time. And remember - totally not uncommon to lose a little bit in the home stretch. Between increased nesting instincts having you move more, decreased amniotic fluid, and changes in water retention, a lot of women lose.

I'm 38+5 so at the end of my pregnancy but if you want support feel free to add!
