Well, DUH!

On September 2 I weighted 176.5 and then for next for weeks I lost NOTHING and even bounced back up to 178. I was getting really discouraged and then I looked at my exercise chart and realized DUH--in that 4 weeks I didn't reach my weekly exercise goal at all! I've got it set at 150 minutes a week and usually I go at least 30-60 minutes over it. If I don't move, I'm not going to lose. I've been food and exercise vigilant this week and was rewarded with my lowest weight since starting at 175! And I just feel so much better when I'm exercising and not eating crap--I just wish I'd remember that before I eat the chocolate and ice cream.

Do you hear those Slim for Life commercials on the radio? Lose 4-6 pounds every week with no exercise! How in the world are they doing that? I've seen people who have lost on that program, but I've never questioned them about what the diet consists of . . . it sure can't be much food. I've also noticed that the 2 or 3 people I know who have done it have gained back weight pretty quickly. The other bad side I've seen in it is that women over 40 who lose that fast, they pay for it with face lines and wrinkles. (hehehe . . I did enjoy seeing my ex-husband's new wife age about 15 years in her face though).

At 57, I'm not sure I can avoid the droopy chin and neck altogether, but so far it's looking ok.

    Wow .. I just realized I made a mistake in that post . . I started at 208, not 175!
