Hello everyone. I am not sure if I posted yet. I'm a 36 year old mother and nurse. I'm 5' 5" and just under 150 pounds. I quit smoking in June and gained alot of weight. Hoping to get back to my happy weight of 120. Please feel free to add me as a friend! I am set at a 1200 calorie goal. I do not log plain non-starchy veggies..... I consider these "free".0

Hi I'm Cindy. I had a kidney transplant in 2010 then spent 3 1/2 years in a wheelchair due to foot issues. Due to inactivity and steroids for my transplant, I need to lose 40 pounds. I'm healthy now so I'm looking forward to the challenge!!!5

Hi guys! I'm Callie and I'm trying to lose the 50 pounds I've gained in the last few years due to Fibro. I'm 5'2.5" and 203. I started at 210. I've been dieting for about a month now to lose the first bit of weight and plan to continue! Let's get healthy, y'all!2

Hello! My name is Sarita! I am 25 years old, 5 feet tall, and when I seriously started MFP in June, I was 165 lbs. I am now down to 139 as of today. My goal is to get to about 110-115 lbs. My secondary goal, beyond losing weight, is to speed up my 5k run time! My family has a bunch of runners that can do it in about 25 minutes. I am currently at 33 minutes. Hoping that with losing weight and exercising, I may be able to catch up next year!

I'm Wally. Been fighting middle age spread that came from taking the easy (or buttery) way out when it came to meal prep. I've found MFP helpful when I stick to it but I lapse into old habits unless I concentrate. Hopefully belonging to a group like this with a discreet target and good bunch of encouraging people will get me farther down my road than I've done alone. I'm registered for a Rugged Maniac run next year, participate in 2 men's hockey leagues at night, and now take my lunch break at work to go for a walk. I've got about 45lbs to take off and I'd like to see it gone by mid Spring. Best of health to you all.

Hey everyone, My name is Preeti and I am 23 years old. I am from Las Vegas, Nevada but currently live in India for school and work. I was always chubby as a kid and I started losing weight in high school. I went from 190-145 lbs at that time. I had stopped trying for a few years but now I want to look my best and get fit. I am 153 at the moment and I would love to lose 15-20 lbs more. Can't wait to go through this journey with you guys.2

Hello loves, my names Michelle. I've been on MFP since the last week of August now and have lost 25lbs to date. I'm starting to struggle a bit now with body image and self esteem so I thought joining a community would be a good idea! I've been overweight all my life even as a child, so I really don't know what it's like to be normal sized. I have a long way to go but I'm trying to go slow and steady in order to lose the weight in a healthy manner.

Hello everyone! My name is Christine and I live on the West Coast of Canada. I started my weight loss journey again January 15, 2016 by doing a 90 day weight loss competition at work. I'm currently down 65 lbs but now weight loss has really slowed down so I am hoping a new challenge is what I need to keep my focus over the upcoming holidays! 15lbs over two months isn't realistic for me at this point so I will be aiming for 8lbs during this time which will mean I'd start the year at 199. That would be amazing!

My plan is to continue what I have been doing...drink enough water, eat smaller portions, and move more!
Almost at our start day. Are you ready??1 -
I'm in too....I've got 33 to lose but this will put me in the right direction...51 living in Calgary Alberta...looking forward to it0

I'm Alisa. Been on MFP for just over 2 years. Hit my maintenance weight but staying there was harder than I thought. Let it get away from me but back on track again. I have 33 lbs to go still.0

Hi I'm Jennifer. I have been on MVP for years on and off but never really completed a challenge I set for myself. My goal is to find some pals to keep each other going and lose together. I would like to lose 15 lbs and rewire my life back to where I was a bit ago. I know I can because I have I've just been in a rut the last year. Im glad to see so many motivated people and look forward to the holidays. Thanks for offering this challenge for us.0

I'm Kim. I'm 34 and have been up and down this year. Looking for friends for motivation and encouragement to eat right and get back into exercise again. I've gained 15 pounds very quickly and just want to get them off!1

Hello. I am Camille from North Carolina. I have been on MFP for a couple of years, but only to occasionally log meals and exercise. Have never really read message boards or motivation tips or anything. Well that is going to change! I always thought I could drop some weight and tone up on my own without involving anyone else, but I now know that it is much better with a community of support. I am faithful with Pilates but do very little cardio. My goal is to lose 20-25 lbs, increase muscle, lose flab, gain confidence, and mostly to feel better about myself. This is my first Challenge. Thank you Margaret for getting this started!1

Hello everyone, I am Catherine from Prague, Czech republic, and this challenge is ideal for me I would like to lose around 20 lbs and eat healthy again. I have already lost around 40 pounds with MPF about two years ago, so I just need some motivation to do it again Feel free to add me!1

Hi everyone, I'm Elise from NY. I joined MFP over 4 years ago when I started grad school to keep the pounds off. I didn't end up needing to watch my calories in grad school because no money = ramen, rice, and beans. And tiny portions. After school ended, I stopped eating tiny portions and stopped walking everywhere. I'm now at 135 lbs and hoping to drop to 125lbs during this challenge. I've tried by myself for the past year or so and not really gotten anywhere. I'm hoping this will be the motivation I need! Feel free to add me!0

Hi, I'm Fiona from the UK and I have used MFP to help me lose 38lbs to date. I really need this challenge as last Christmas healthy eating went out of the window and it wasn't until May I got back on track! Planning to do a lot better this year!! Only 8lbs to go to get to a healthy BMI and 22lbs to ultimate goal. Got a holiday of a lifetime coming up in February, so plenty of motivation to get there. Early sixties and hypothyroid, so have proved to myself I can lose the weight at last.1

Hello everyone, I am Gina from Northern Wisconsin. I have been on MFP for 1 1/2 years now. Log in daily but have found that I have not been as strict with myself as I had previously. A few pounds (12 to be exact) have crept back over the summer. Looking forward to taking that back off. Good luck to everybody.0

Hey y'all I'm DeAnna ( BIG SOUTHERN WAVE ) in 2 weeks I will be 43. I am currently defined as morbidly obese. No big deal, I say this because... I never noticed I had gotten so large until I was HUGE and once I became huge well it didn't seem to matter until the light bulb clicked. My Dr's never once offered any words of advice etc just wrote the words MOBIDLY OBESE in my VA medical records. I am a combat wounded 1005 disabled vet. I started my personal journey at the end of February this year at 257 pounds. SERIOUSLY, what was I thinking letting myself go like that and the climb back to the top is NO easy journey! Currently I am between 208 and 209 give or take 6 or so ounces. I count every single flippen calorie. I purchased a treadmill for $50.00 money WELL spent! People Netfilx and chill I Netflix and Mill HAHA I made a funny On a more serious note... this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, and I HAVE to do it. Failure is not a option. Loosing 15 pounds by the new year would put me in to onederland. The thing is... I want to have people to celebrate that milestone with me who " GET IT " ya know what I mean? My amazing fiancee supports me throughout all of this but what he see's is that I make it happen, not the struggle, not the inner conflict of what to eat for so many calories so I can have a snack later etc, not the PUSH to walk 5 miles a day EVERY day even though I am disabled and have SLE Lupus. I just DO IT like Nike. I have always just done things and if you haven't walked a mile in my shoes then you don't know the struggle. You people have a concept of my struggle. Ok, I am babbling... what a LONG into I am SO very sorry. Feel free to send me a friend request if you like.
TaTa for now
Let the journey begin5 -
Hi all, I am Marlene from Nova Scotia. I am retired and I turned 60 last month (still wrapping my head around that notion). I've been working seriously at losing weight for the past 2-3 years (OK, really, all of my life). I had lost about 60 lbs but, in the past year, have re-gained about 20 lbs. So, really not happy about that especially because I still had a number of lbs left to lose. Oh well, success is rarely in a straight line. I'm dusting myself off and beginning again. I would secretly love to lose all of my re-gained weight in this Challenge but I'll certainly be happy losing 15 lbs. I've had success in the past with these support groups so I'm hoping for more of the same. I'm looking forward to working with everyone. Best of luck - to us all.1

i have had the app for several years but never really used it to its fullest abilities. I have continuously gained over the past few years and its time to make a change.1

Hi everyone, my name is Ella and I currently live in Nairobi, Kenya. I'm 32, 118 lbs.
A few months ago, everything was super duper! I had a regular gym routine, was training at home for a pole dance competition, and doing Muay Thai kickboxing once a week. I was even working up to my first pull-up!
Then I was diagnosed with wrist tendonitis, and told to stop boxing and anything else that strains the wrist. Then I twisted my ankle really badly, and all manner of workouts stopped. If I couldn't work out, then I should probably keep track of what I'm eating, otherwise I wouldn't be able to get beach-ready for January 2017. Enter MFP!
So far I have lost 8 lbs on diet alone and very minimal exercise. I've now been cleared to do some light training but my wrist is still bothering me, so can't go all out. One complicating factor is I am traveling over the next 5 weeks so my diet and exercise routine may suffer, but I'm hoping this challenge will remind me that traveling is not an excuse, and I can make healthy choices 99% of the time.1 -
Hi Everyone, I'm Bonnie
I've go through periods when I use this app, then always fall away. I thought a new approach would be to interact with others who would like to improve their health and drop some weight. I am 30lbs over a healthy weight and I just keep taking off and putting on the same 8lbs. Problem is, I haven't been motivated to really hold myself accountable and make the changes I know how to make. BLAH! What is wrong with me???
So, here I am and i'll be checking in on this group often and using your words to help me stay on track. I'll try to do the same for you!

Hi everyone! I'm Sean from GA! I've used mfp with some success but got away from it and put back on about 30lbs. I'm using this challenge to kick things off again and I'm also new to using the community so please feel free to add me. Strength in numbers! Good luck everyone!!!1

I'm new! I'm Olivia, currently in Wisconsin. I was doing good with weight loss before I moved for a new job 7 months ago. It's been tough, but I've been allowing myself to slack off. I recently joined a roller derby team even though I've never done much skating before! Being back on a team feels pretty awesome, and now I have the accountability of needing to go to practice 3-4x/week, so I'm just going to take it one step further and fill in the non-derby days with other workouts. I'm ready to stop hating my body for being soft and start appreciating it for being strong and powerful and capable again.0
