Hey guys,
I am busy transitioning from an ovo-lacto vegetarian to a vegan and it is haaaard. I wonder if any of you could offer tips, advice and easy recipes to help me out. I live in a house with full omnivores so I'm on my own in this quest :P

Cheese is an umami food and very addictive believe it or not. There are some vegan cheeses out there that you can try if giving it up is a major issue, but even though it's plant based doesn't mean it's ok in large quantities. I like Chao original cheese once in a while. I will not call it vegan cheese because I think it's time to stop using dairy and meat standards as the be all and say all as to what certain foods are suppose to taste like. Daiya cheese is also okay and they make shredded cheese that can be used for pizza. Eating more whole foods though is the best way to go. Your taste buds will adapt to the new food flavors and you will find yourself wanting the whole foods over the processed. Boca burgers, and veggie crumbles are things that I use sparingly because again, although vegan, it is still processed and you want to avoid processed as much as possible. There are vegan recipe websites where you can get recipes and tips for making the transition, if meal prep or what to eat is an issue. Search around the web and I am sure you can find help on whatever you are having trouble with during the adjustment process. Good luck0
