This building is the iconic Chicago Water Tower one of only two structures that survived the Chicago Fire of 1871.

Just curious how many towns do ornaments of their town? Every year our town does a commemorative ornament of the town of a building or something in the town that is special.
Do I buy it every year nope I only buy what I like. I missed out on a few I loved due to popular demand but you never know it's a small town they may repeat. LOL2 -

I saw a roadrunner today. I was coming up out of the arroyo into a little neighborhood park. Roadrunner skittered in and out between some bushes. Can't help but think about that cartoon, you know that wiley coyote and the roadrunner. Can't think of the name of it.
Anyway, after having watched too much of that as a kid I got this subliminal urge to catch roadrunners. Actually I have caught them a couple of times. Good memories and good stories.
I went up and seen Buddy this morning. Cold or not we are going outside. Sun was shining. Put mittens and a hat on Buddy. Out we go. I give him a lot of free rein the last few walks. So I let him get stuck sometimes. Teachers walking by ask him/us "are you stuck?" I tell them, "I think he can pull out of it." They immediately get it.
Watching him pull out of it. That is when that little guy shows his strength. I got him velcroed into a walker. He has hand grips and forearm braces that are solidly attached to his frame. Physical therapist has got his stance rigged to it somewhat resembles a downhill skier holding ski poles in kind of a power push potential. Little guy has a solid stance.
Watch him back out of that gravity well. He needs some power. He sticks his whole body into leaning back and pushing.
Little guy is showing off. He knows I am looking. He knows people are looking.
Kids approach us. They are looking at his frame. I hear a couple remark, "that thing is kind of cool."

Exercised today as usual and ate well, but went to a drug dinner tonight and can't really log that food well. Even though I couldn't measure it, I picked salmon and salad so it couldn't have been half bad.3 -

Exercise? Yep! I went to the 5 o'clock CrossFit class. It was a beating today. 50 each of Back extensions, Box jumps, window wipers, dumbbell thrusters, dumbbell cleans, and Burpees. I was drenched in sweat but it felt good! AND I am making progress on my pushups! I got to 30 today.
Calories? I was WAY under for the day. I had saved up some calories to enjoy a beer or two after dinner. By the time I sat down on the couch after dinner and putting my 1.5 year old down, I was too lazy to get up and get the beer. HAHA!

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 1 hour of weight training/ circuits, 1 hour dance class- Not as much dancing as usual though, lots of talking.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes -just barely
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes1 -

YES! 60 minutes Elliptastic Workout (elliptical intervals) and 5 minutes stretching.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
YES, however on my actual numbers I was over by 24 calories but because of my exercise I came in well below, this is the first time I've done that so I felt like I needed to point it out.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?
Yes.
Hard to believe we are already done with a WEEK! WOO-HOO!2
