Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

When I was growing up...our parents read to us from Little Golden Books. I read them to my 4 children. Here is one to which I have very fond memories. Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas season to you!

I'm glad you made it to your Mum's Rick!

I have to confess that it's pass day 5 here. Over ten years ago now I taught English in Spain for a year. Every Christmas I meet up with some of the other teachers who are back in the UK. While I tried to be as good as I could a lot of it was out of my control and, as a wise man called Rick once said, sometimes as a guest you have to go with the flow a bit. The positive I'm taking is that I could easily have had about 5 times what I did! The negative, which I'm also turning into a positive, is that some photos of today have been sent round and it's reminded me I have more weight to lose and to get back to good habits so tomorrow is a new start and I don't have any more days like today and yesterday on the horizon!

Hope everyone had a great day!

my favorite golden book was cinderella. Loved that book asked my sister and she said Winnie the Poo. Asked my brother and he was like I don't think I had any. LOL I think the best part was in the front where it said This book belongs to: I loved seeing my name in the book.

Hubby came home and woke me up and told me I would have to do the driveway he was not up to it. So as soon as it was daylight I went out and got it done. I also got the tree decorated and a few decoration up. I would say we are done for the holiday. Later I will wrap up the few gifts and do the woo hoo i'm as ready as i will ever be and just wait for next weekend. LOL

Exercise: Yes; 34 minutes of strength training and a 30 minute run
    Calories: Yes
    Tracking: Yes

I am so happy to have made it to the gym today. Exercising is a good way to escape the holiday hustle and bustle. I love the season, but yesterday evening I went Christmas shopping, which is always overwhelming for me. I also enjoyed a live play and a dinner with some extended family.

My brother and I had Little Golden Books when we were younger. The Winnie the Pooh book was the first book that I could "read" (I really just memorized the words haha). Thankfully, we kept many of them, so I might be able to share the same books with my kids some day.

I'm so happy to have both "kids" home right now. (18 and 21)
I took a long walk in the snow and ate right and tracked.

I am a children's book junkie. I have my favorites from childhood (Blueberries for Sal, Goodnight Moon, The Little Fur Family, among many others) and I have shelves of other amazing picture books, too. Fortunately, my habit is also appreciated by my students. : )

@deejkush My favorite teacher ever was my 6th grade teacher, Mr. Rhoades. He read John Newberry Award books to us and had a contest for the most Newberry books read during the school year. When our kids were young, I read aloud, Blueberries for Sal, Goodnight Moon, The Hobbit, and the Lord of the Rings; Island of Blue Dolphins (always one of my favorites).
@am_change You are doing great. I told my wife yesterday as we spent time with my mom and relatives, "We consistently and persistently eat very well. When we are with our family, we eat with them. Our habits are healthy. Their habits lead to being obese. We don't have that habit. Relax enjoy our time as family."
Let's all do the best we can during this seasonal whirlwind of family, feasting, and celebration. I already set up the January signup for the UAC!
