This is the first time that I have led the UAC during a December Holiday season. On the other hand, for 23 years, I led an early morning 5 day per week exercise program for our local park district community. What happened then, is happening now. Almost everyone takes their focus off of the usual goals and targets. They refocus on a short sprint of end of the year celebrations; gift-giving; feasting; and relationships. As soon as January 2 hits....it's a whole new ball game. January at health clubs; fitness centers; MFP; Weight Watchers, etc will be OVERFLOWING with attendees.
By February, it's back to those who are focused on the long game! Enjoy the end of the year, and don't forget our ultimate goal is to change everyday habits so we are not lost in a maze.

12/16, 17 & 18 pass days, yikes! In a bit of a funk here.
12/19 yes x 3; 76 minute walk. I've got to shake this off! November & December are hard!
Kudos to all who are hanging in there!

I am not always a very patient person outside of work, so the overcrowded gym in January tries my nerves. However, I'm going to smile and be supportive, because a handleful will stay and even those who do not deserve kindness. Beginning at the gym is daunting, and I would hate to make them feel unwelcome.
I will be at the gym often next month. My weight hit a plateau, and I have a February 1st goal to make! Another goal that I am working on is to leave time and energy for more cardio.
I hope everyone is doing well with their short and long-term goals!!3 -
I stopped going to the gym (my YMCA) because I found that I was more likely to do exercise outside and with DVD's and streaming services. I am a solitary exerciser, so this works for me.
Yesterday and today I exercised, stayed in my limit and logged. With "kids" home, and a full fridge, this is a feat for me. But, success! Stay warm, y'all. : )3 -
No excuses. Between leadership team meetings and over to our friends this evening. It's a crash and burn day. Pass #3, and that will not be all for the month. I'm still going to be truthfully accountable, even when I fail. That is the strength of this program.
Tomorrow, I fly to a business meeting that will probably wipe out Dec 20 and 21.3 -

Calories: according to mfp diary yes...but I had pizza and half a bottle of prosecco for lunch with a friend so this seems a bit doubtful to be honest. I think the generic calories may be a bit generous?!

@deejkush which dvds /websites do you use or recommend? I used to love getting to the gym and going to classes e.g. body pump and attack, spinning, swimming, yoga etc. For the time being it's got to be dvds and the internet for me. I've a few Jillian Michaels ones and some others but I get bored of the repetition quickly so any recommendations gratefully received. Thanks!2 -
