Rose and I traveled 4 days to accomplish what some speedy folks would do in 2 days. We meandered from Chicago to Phoenix as we enjoyed the company of a Costa Rican couple with whom we spent one full year in their home. It was great! We first went to see my Mom; then a niece of Rose's whose husband is in the cattle industry in the Flint Hills of Kansas. They do not see many visitors. Then we traveled to Santa Fe, NM where our friends savored both the southwestern architecture and the New Mexican flavors of Hatch chiles and spicy margaritas.
Yesterday was sunny and mild as we traveled south to Phoenix via the lesser used but very scenic route through Payson, AZ.
I'm tired as I write this, but I really want to reconnect with you all! I am so proud of you as I read your sign ins!

I do have a wanderlust, but it is good to be home with you fellow UAC teammates again!

Just for today, I will walk by the two day old cake in the break room and not have a piece, or even a bite. This cake is not in celebration of anything, is not nourishment for my body, it is not even fresh! I am worth it! I can resist, just for today.
There, I just put it out there to my UAC cyber family. Thank you all for being here.

You are so right @fitqueenbess. No way that cake will be worth it, and you are worth skipping it.
Woke up to another dark rainy day and really wanted to stay in bed. Thankfully, last night I had laid out my workout clothes and packed my bag with my spin shoes and towel.... so this helped push me to go to class. Came out of class to sun peaking through!! Gonna be a great day!4 -

I felt so tired today that I almost used a skip day. Then, this afternoon, I just stood up and headed to the gym without allowing myself to contemplate the decision. My workout went wonderfully, and I am so happy that I went. The extra calories made up for some snacks this evening5 -

Well done @fitqueenbess ! Taking your lead I walked into my staff room with a box of not even nice biscuits on the table and walked straight back out the room without having one.1 -

Exercise?- Yes, went at 5 and did the workout with my husband. Apparently we are not the only ones that the new schedule isn't working for a lot of people, so I think they are going to move back to the old one. YAY!
