    Synergy...means that we are more together than we are as separate individual parts. The UAC exists to promote accountability; friendship; mutual respect; and encouragement. We each are separate, but we help each other achieve more than we would on our own.

    It has taken me 2 hours to log on this morning UGH!!!! That with the fact my dog decided to take my husbands garbage bag of and I mean big black garbage bag of shredded paper and have her own little party in the living room . As crazy as it sounds I'm not mad at the dog I'm angry with my husband for leaving it in the living room. I'm hoping this is not the start of a crappy day as I am once again in disaster training we do it once every 90 days. At least it's not sprung on you it's marked on the schedule. Have a good day everyone.

    Pass Day #3

    I guess it isn't my month to make the winner's circle, but I keep getting closer.

    I have had a rough few days of work, with little to no sleep in between. I am catching up on some rest and zzz's this evening and will hit the gym tomorrow on my day off.

    I hope everyone else is doing well!

    JANUARY 18 - I had a good day for the most part. I like starting off with the power yoga. It's a total body workout and I'm good for the day by 7 AM, and I get to work a little early. (But it makes for a long day) Any extra exercise is gravy.

    Exercise - Yes - Morning yoga, noon spin for cardio (I had the wobbly legs all afternoon)
    Tracking - Yes
    Calories - Yes

    Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? No. I ran some errands today, and ever since I woke up this morning I've had some type of allergy issue that made me feel drained. I did clean house this evening, though, but would rather not count that as exercise (though I did sweat a bit...lol).

    Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? No. I had no time to eat lunch and then ate around 3:30 and was starving. I knew to stop but decided to have some trail mix which did me in. However, after that, I didn't snack on anything.

    Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes I did, trail mix and all.

    I agree with your post, Rick...great food for thought!

    @RangerRickL just want to tell you I appreciate you and appreciate this group, it helps me to stay focus, especially when I was not doing well for the last couple days, I still logged all my good and tried to do better. So...... Thank you!
    No exercise, Wednesday is the worst day for me. Classes and rehearsals all day long...... I am just exhausted. Stayed under calorie budget and logged everything.

    Exercise? Yep 5 o'clock class :) I set a personal best with 125 lbs on my front squat today! I also went on several long walks at work breaks.
    Calories/Tracking? Yes with about 450 to spare which is about half of my exercise calories for the day.

    I better back off on my boasting somewhat. Yeah, right, see how long I can resist.
    I kinked my back yesterday picking up a 50 pound kid. Only like an inch and only to nudge Buddy into his chair at the lunch table. So I guess I ain't a weight lifter. I am more of an endurance athlete. Yup, that is the ticket.
    . Lunch with the kids. I love having lunch with them little kids. We all sit at the lunch table. It is a table that is like knee high to me standing. I got Buddy off to my left. I am trying to get him to eat with a spoon. Otherwise he hasn't got too civilized of eating habits. He wan't having any of that yesterday though. But he's been sick for about a week or so. He is just now getting back to his usual charming self.
    . Off to my right I have a little Autism girl. I don't want to use real names on the internet. I got to come up with a nickname for her. Until I get creative it will be A-girl. She is a good kid. Hey, she likes me. That counts for a lot. I am seeing some pretty good growth in her. I remember the day we first met. I was pulling her in a wagon back from a field trip. She was looking off sideways at who knows what. I was walking backwards pulling the wagon. If I hadn't been looking at her I wouldn't have heard her say, ever so softly, "What is your name?" I think that is the first time she spoke at school.
    . Across the table is a little A-boy. He has never spoke a word. The sounds he makes are mostly kind of shrill. He has the same sound for happiness as does for sadness. I think I can teach him some tonal variation. He is getting it a little bit. He likes animal books and animal youtubes. I hope we get a field trip to the zoo. But I kind of worry about zoo sounds. Sometimes sounds set these kids off. He likes me. He will grab me by the finger. Drag me to the table and get me to draw a picture for him. Then he will color it. He has pretty good dexterity. He knows not to color in schoolbooks.
    . I ain't gonna see the kids today. Going to spin at noon. I can't really do both. They are going to get some good attention from some serious professionals though. So I ain't dropping the ball or anything. I miss my summer routine. I get up before first light and get to the trailhead at first light. Then I climb, climb, climb. Then I can still get back home and cleaned up and go see the kids.
    . My body now, I had BMI of 24.4 the other day. Geesh, I been working on that for like ten years or more. So I am not really dieting. Dieting is me getting down to a weight goal and then celebrating. Yay! Diet is over! That don't pan out. I still do that a little bit though. My indulgence is usually beer, but I measure that, mostly. Tracking I guess is 'almost' ingrained in me.
    . Exercise tracking is important. I have to be realistic and accurate. I used to ride my bike to work and then slug down a big ole shake at lunch figuring that I had earned it. That didn't pan out. I kept right on gaining.
    . I dress business casual at school. My clothes fit. I don't wear my old too big and too comfortable of clothes. I want to represent my kids. I want to be attractive for them. That ain't saying that I want to be attractive to them. I want regular kids to be attracted to us. I want benefactors to be attracted to us. I try to keep my kids as attractive and as presentable as possible. Buddy kind of drools. I always got a handkerchief. People or kids approach I always blot him up a little bit. He doesn't like getting wiped. He is conscious of keeping his mouth shut for a little while after I do that. Eh, too much detail. But I think about being a kid and how amoungst siblings how we got each other to not drool.
    . School staff... there ain't that many there that are fit. It is a hard job and it is easy to want to seek the comfort of a bag of chips and a diverting tv show after a hard day. They are all wearing fitbits these days though.
    . But what do I want kids to see when they look at me? I want them to see an old guy of respectable stature... helping a kid.
    Boasting, boasting, boasting .... I like my life right now.

    I have been pretty sore from working out. It is mostly a good sore, but I also know when I have been pushing it too much. So, today I didn't exercise. I know I'll get back at it tomorrow though. :smiley:
