Hey all. I had another weekend of 2 nights of heavy drinking. Had a nice dinner and art looking with my friends Friday, but didn't get back to our house till around 11:30 because of traffic. We still decided to get in the hot tub. I drank plenty over the course of the night, but only had like 3 small glasses of wine in the tub. We were up till after 2am though.....

Saturday I didn't even have my first drink until around 6. I was busy cooking. I made homemade cannelloni with homemade pasta. We went to bed around midnight and then Eric let me sleep till after 10am. It was amazing.

The weather was really warm so we did a lot of walking. I also smoked a chicken yesterday which required a beer. Then I made a cocktail and finished off with a glass of red. Monday and Tuesday will be 0s. Wednesday I will have a couple drinks. We're going to dinner for Daphne's 5th birthday. Then it really is my goal to try to take it a bit easier this weekend. I'm never going to lose any weight at this rate!

Haha Ann...there are friends out there that don't drink? Maybe that's my problem!
Hi Yvonne! Hope the pain is better.
    Homemade pasta? Yumm Ashley!
I didn't drink too much over the weekend. Went through 2 bottles of wine in 3 days...I consider that a win. Mother nature let up for the walk on Saturday..which was fabulous. I did have a carb-fest though. I need to manage my diet this week.
It started raining again yesterday and today. Finally supposed to let up tomorrow and be sunny for the rest of the week. We seriously need to dry out but my sandbags held up. Going to get in some exercise and back to healthy eating.
    Have a good week everyone!

Friday-somehow we ended up staying up until midnight...2 margaritas, 2 manhattans, 1 bourbon on the rocks and small glass of white wine...I slept in Saturday
Saturday, we just hung around the house until it was time to go to dinner at Lenny's boss' house :grumble: Had 2 glasses of wine before we went, then about 1 1/2 bottles there.
Went to bed around 10ish, felt slow but fine on Sunday.
Sunday, we drove out to the West side and did a nice 4 mile hike and then lunch in Lahaina. When we got home, laundry and food prep. 3 beers, 2 vodka/sprite, 2 manhattans. Feeling pretty good today
    Monday, is back to zeros!!!

Way to go on the loss even with some wine, YAY!!

My only zero this week was Wednesday (couple glasses of wine each night otherwise). I had my first workout Wednesday and I'm pretty excited. My husband and I started a weight lifting program. No cardio, just squats, bench presses, deadlifts, etc. I'm really excited (and VERY sore)! But also nervous about eating at a deficit while trying to get in enough protein AND having the occasional drink. I'm definitely going to have to scale back on the weekends.... EXCEPT not this weekend! Hubs and I have tickets to see Kings of Leon and we got a room in Manhatten Beach so we can get dinner and breakfast and not have to worry about driving home that night. We're so excited to see one of our favorite bands and also, this is my first night away from my son (he's almost 3) so this is going to be a blast!

Have fun Kitty! I love KOL. I think I've seen them 3 or 4 times. They're great. Are you doing Stronglifts by any chance? I did that for a year or more and saw great results.

Nice job Syd. My weight has been stalled all month. I need to work on my portion and snack control.....

Nice work Syd!! I haven't weighed in a while. The last 3 weeks I have been good during the week, eating out less on the weekends, exercising at least 4 days a week and yet I feel softer than before???

    Monday thru Thursday-0
Sunset/cocktail walk after work, then packing and getting food ready for camping this weekend. Driving out to Hana and camping one night. There shall be waterfalls, hiking and a sunrise!! :drinker:

    Have a great weekend

    3 or 4 times? Awesome this'll be my first! I <3 them!

YES! Doing StrongLifts 5x5, had my second workout today which started off rocky since I'm still sore from Wednesday but I finished strong. Starting with below the beginner weight on some moves like the OH press and rows since they're a bit heavy for me. Please tell me all about your time training and results!!!

Happy weekend lushes, someone please have a drink for me. I really really really fancy a glass of cold white wine. Still on enforced abstinence thanks to the pain meds

Kitty, Yes I saw KOL back in 2006-7?? at a small venue in Louisville before they were as popular. Then I saw them twice at Bonnaroo I think and I'm thinking another time too. They all run together after a while... :)

As for Stronglifts, I did it back in 2011-12 maybe? That was probably the leanest I have been in a while. I would do it 3x a week. My highest lifts were squat and dead 135-140, bench 85, OHP and rows were about 55-65 maybe. I have it all written down somewhere. :) I still lift heavy once a week, but not as heavy as back then. I liked the program because they're effective lifts and you can get it done in like 25 minutes, but I ended up getting kind of bored with the same 5 lifts after a while... But I still cycle them into my normal workouts now.

I actually had a pretty good weekend. Friday Eric and I split a bottle of red and I had a glass of champagne before. Saturday I had 2 mules, a cider and cocktail. Yesterday was Daphne's birthday party which was a hit. I drank wine spritzers during the party and then my friend and her daughter stayed the night and we drank 3 more bottles of wine so I am a little slow today. I still feel pretty good about my drinking last week for the most part. The weekend was packed full and I need another day to recover, clean, grocery shop, etc.

    Have a great week all!

Hi all, I am back. Last week was a blur. I was in Vegas from the 21st thru the 24th for Olivia's 5th birthday party and then the rest of the week was playing catchup. I am downing too much vodka and too much wine. I am a total slug at home and this has got to stop. So today I hope for ambition and a zero.

I apologize for the pics being big.
Here are the birthday girl and her sister with their special guests.

    So cute, Robin!!

I drank more than I wanted but nothing too over the top. Yesterday the champagne came out and ooops...the whole bottle was gone. But it was worth it after spending a few hours at the airport.
    Have a good week lushes!

That's awesome, I wish I could have seen KOL way back when! The show was incredible! I can't believe they didn't do an encore though! First show I've ever been to with no encore.

I can see that the same 5 lifts would get old for sure! I'm excited to build a foundation and go from there. I'm really nervous I won't really lose weight, just gain muscle and still be fluffy! That's my biggest fear right now. LOL

That looks like an amazing 5 year old party!

Kitty, I was at my high end of weight when doing 5x5, but I was at one of my leaner times. My diet was also better then.

I had a great day...lots of exercise and my diet was good....then I did stupid. I put in my beautiful whole wheat ravioli bake in the oven with the plastic lid on. Needless to say dinner was ruined. I promptly got the wine out and told the kid to go to InnOut and get me a double, double.

This morning while googling how to get burnt plastic off your oven floor it said this: "you're not dumb. This is an actually very common thing that happens, and people are frequently unclear on what to do about it."

I'm thinking there's just a lot of dumb people out there and I'm a card carrying member. :D

Today should be better. One can hope
