Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

On Sunday, I went to Office Max and the fellow in front of me was standing at the counter, talking to the cashier as he purchased a printer and some accessories. He clasped a bottle of regular Coca Cola in his hand the entire time and took occasional sips from the bottle. He seemed like a very nice man and very overweight. I could not help but think about not only how addicted he is to his beverages, but how addicted I am to my beverage vices. I work very hard to make space in my calorie intake for my 6 oz/day of red wine. In addition, I have been a Diet Coke addict for decades. That stuff is poison and I now have skin irritations whenever I ingest aspartame. But does that stop me...not always.
Anyway, this is my true confession. I'm working on getting bad beverages out of my life.

I don't drink alcohol and my vice is an occasional diet coke. Though the new drug has me craving them as in I actually have them in the house. I never buy a 6 pack I actually buy them individually so I don't have a zillion in the house at once. Right now I have a 2 liter of it.

I called the group leader and told him where I am and he was like. Thats what I thought would happen. Really? :/ He goes you watch everything you put in your mouth I knew if weight gain was going to be a real side effect it would show up on you. OY 3 more weeks I got up this morning and did a mile right away to get my metabolism moving.

I am at the branch this morning so I need to get my fanny moving. Have a great day everyone.

I have not given up Diet Cherry Coke, yet, but I limit it to one a day. When I get tired of water, I will sometimes have a flavored water like Ice. On occasion, I will have vodka mixed with diet Snapple peach tea/lemonade....my personal Arnold Palmer!

Make it a great day, losers!

I have tried to rid my diet of sodas and calorie filled drinks. I stick to water, tea, and coffee (with a little creamer) mostly. My only big calorie drinks these days seem to be alcohol or mixed with alcohol. But those are only once a week typically.
I used to drink 2 LARGE Dr Peppers in the morning but slowly cut those out of my diet. I don't know how I did that, because now that I don't drink soda very often I find that they are SO sweet and definitely a treat for every now and then. It is amazing what our taste buds get used to.

    Another 0 exercise day.
Well under calories & logged what little I ate.

My body gave into the allergies I've been fighting for the last month. Spent the day in the hospital & then hours at the pharmacy. Did you know the EpiPen is $700+???

Found a $300 discount on the web site, but still!!! Now I'll spend the morning shopping around for a better price. I have to get it because I'm traveling next week for my brother's destination wedding & I have to be prepared. Oy vey.

I stopped drinking diet soda after I found out that returning a can/bottle for deposit in CA required me to stand in line with people with carts/bags of a thousand to return. Not worth it, so I just recycle the few I drink a year. I'll have it at a restaurant occasionally, but I'm usually too cheap to spend $3 and up for the 2 glasses I'll drink. I do drink iced tea and coffee with artificial sweeteners, but wonder if they are "keeping" me fat. I've read that a few places. Ah, first world problems....do I eat the cake, turnover, or ice cream? I chose just 1/2 turnover (it was blueberry). The cake was store-bought red velvet and boring. So many choices...

    Exercise: long 60 minute walk
    Calories: within limits
    Tracking: all done

FEBRUARY 21 - Diet cokes can be pretty satisfying, I must admit, especially in the summer time. One year I gave up diet coke and all fast food. (They go together in my mind) After the year was up those things were no longer important in my life. I might have a diet coke with Mexican food maybe once every other month, but a light beer is another good treat. I don't like the big cola companies. I don't want them to have my money. (That'll show them!)

Exercise - swimming 30 minutes (lost count on the laps)
    Tracking - Yes
    Calories - Yes

@MiamiSeoul - I don't like the big pharma companies either! Mylan got a lot of heat for their Epipen so they were going to make an "authorized generic" at 2 for $300. Plus I read you can buy the Epipen cheaper out of the country. Maybe you can wait until you reach that destination wedding local. Good luck and hope you feel better.

I'm have a diet soda maybe once a month, but regular sodas have always been too sweet and acidic for me. I do like my gin and an occasional IPA, though.

Exercise? Yes; 36 minutes of strength training and a 20 minute run
    Calories? Yes
    Tracking? Yes

Today, I finally got a tattoo done that I have been waiting almost two years for. I wanted to make my goal weight before I got it, and I officially hit and surpassed the goal two weeks ago!

My wife is in AZ, so I am here alone. By itself, that is not an eating problem, but tonight when I ate at a friend couple's house, the hostess piled on the food. Even though, it was hard to restrain her, I believe that based on my best estimate (that is the only thing I can do), I am under. Breakfast and lunch were very light.
Exercise: light day, walked at 3.5mph to 4 mph and watched tv
Calories: I think I was under
Tracking: the best that I could under the circumstances.
    It will be easier tomorrow

I have never been a big soda drinker. I don't like all the bubbles. I do like a glass of wine or a good mixed drink every now and then....

@MiamiSeoul - so sorry to hear about the cost of the Epipen. I saw two stories about how hard it is for people this year. Here is one of them: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/allergy-medication-epipen-epinephrine-rising-costs-impact-on-families/

@pears734 - congratulations on getting your tatoo and reaching your goal! Rewards are a great incentive.
