Protien Powder during pregnancy?

We aren't pregnant yet but during my last pregnancy my doctor said I could use protein supplement if I could find a powder that didn't have a bunch of extra vitamins, additives, or artificial sweeteners in it.
I've looked all over but it seems that all the protien powders out there are loaded in vitamins, crazy extra aminos, sucrolose. (sp?) Does anyone JUST make whey?
I would really like to make sure that if/when we get pregnant again I am set up for success.

Is there anything wrong with all that other stuff? Just curious since I've also been wondering if I should use my powder now that I'm pregnant. So... in for answers haha. I always just thought that I wouldn't be having it that often and not that much at a time so that it might not be an issue... and yet I still haven't used it.0

The problem is that if you take a prenatal vitamin the extra vitamins alone can be dangerous for the baby.
If I'm not mistaken, while you can get all the vitamin A in the world through your diet, you really want to limit how much you have during pregnancy. A lot of those protein drinks also have extra amino, or artificial sweeteners that aren't good for the baby.
In 2014 several companies were being sued because of spiking their protien with extra useless aminos.

I use Amazing Grass® Protein Superfood and got the go ahead from my doctor that it was safe. It's vegan, organic, doesn't have a lot of vitamins, no amino acids, just plant protein. Tastes not awesome but I'm getting use to it. I got vanilla, the chocolate might be better.0
