Yesterday, @5cheetahs asked if anyone was tracking their water intake. We should! Read the graphics above for why it would be smart to track water intake.

    Hi everyone
So nice to see all your spring pictures while we're getting colder and darker in Autumn. Some beautiful leaf colours though.

Exercise: Yes, cycled to work again today although got quite wet on the way in. It wasn't raining when I left but started about 5 minutes later. Even had to wring out my socks!! 70 minutes total today.
Calories: Under today, not so tough as yesterday.
    Tracking: Yes

Yesterday when I got to work I dropped my keys. Thus I sat my favorite water cup on the hood of my car. It proceeded to smash to the ground not breaking just becoming a dribble cup every time you drank from it. I have decided that these young people have no problem saying No. You guessed it I am going to be at the branch an extra week. All the young kids said no and I well can't seem to say it I need to get assertive. Lol I feel pick your battles I don't love the place but when the new branch opens I really don't want to go there so be flexible with this one. I am going to try a different route home as crossing a 4 lane highway at rush hour is brutal. Not exactly sure if I am thinking it out clearly but we shall see. I am actually one of those people who doesn't have gps or a fancy phone. I just have a good sense of direction. I was going to try it out in dec but I wanted daylight to assist me. Lol

My husband says I am calmer that's because I get on the treadmill when I get home. I miss the gym at the main branch which I use to do at lunch. The girls suggested I go to a park around the corner but it has an issue with drugs and thugs. On a tall day I am only 5'3" and its not a place I feel comfortable walking. We have a park near the main branch to walk. I like to walk it only has one section that makes you Leary if you are alone. Most days the path has seniors walking so you feel safe.

By the way they are calling for us to get more snow thurs and Friday. One of these days spring will be here. ;)

@2020pinktogo You bring up several good points- standing up for yourself and setting up your environment for success. The first can be hard for me sometimes. The two combined for me a years back at work. We had moved into a new building and the junk food/fresh baked goods site became an area right outside my office. I was in and out of my office all day long continually passing it. Even if I could pass up things in the morning, it became harder and harder as the day went by. It often did not end well. So, I asked to move the area, which annoyed a lot of people. In the end, we did move it to an another office area so that nobody had to pass it continually. It was there if they wanted it though. So much better! Then after a few years, a bunch of other women there worked hard to lose weight and totally understood it then!

Water- among the many health benefits, I really do think it helps me lose weight. I feel fuller and I focus on putting something else in my mouth instead of food! Also, in the short term, a lot of water helps to flush out excess sodium. If you have a lot of salt and not too much water, you will just retain that water. Need to flip the balance.

Have a great day all you wonderful UACers!

A good day. Played pickle ball for 45 minutes, did weights and stayed within my calorie limit.

I drink a lot of hot water(always have).

@am_change I also confuse thirst with hunger.
@pheobelaya Your description of junk/ baked goods near your office reminds me of the evil doughnut bringer that most places of work have.

Sounds like everyone had a GREAT day! Way to go!

exercise yes 75 minutes of aquamotion, 30 minutes exercise bike
    calories yes
tracking yes, including water. I like tracking my water as it ensures I am drinking at least 8 glasses a day. There have been a couple of times that I had to drink some to be able to record 8 glasses but most days I am around 10 glasses.

My weigh in day was yesterday. A little disappointed that I stayed the same again. I reviewed my logs to see what I could do different. I discovered that I eat about 2/3's of my calories after 4pm and I do the least amount of physical activity then. Going forward I am going to try and have a bigger lunch and a smaller supper and try to be more active in the evening, the weather is starting to get better so maybe a walk around the block, or some housework, and if all else fails I will do my exercise bike in the evening as well.

A little confused about the extra calories we get for exercising. I am hearing we should be eating some of them but I am scared too, there are already weeks that I stay the same or have small losses, would that not make my loss even slower?

    Nice work everyone!

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, but not as I had planned! Had an arm workout scheduled for the night, but my wife surprised me with tickets for an Ed Sheeran concert. So spent 20 minutes moving and dancing instead! Planned workout will move to tomorrow.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes

@pribud sounds like a plan, hope eating earlier pays off!
    @phoebelayla Well done!

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? YES (gym -- 15 min bike and 45 min treadmill)
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? YES
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YES

Drinking water, or any liquid, is something I struggle with. However, I have been making a conscientious effort lately to drink more. Either I buy flavored water or I just use my tap water and sometimes add lemon slices to it.
