Week 5 already, can you believe it? Today I want to talk about how we view ourselves as we go through the transformation of weight loss. I think for some of us, as we drop weight, our brain does not let us see it. I've lost 70 pounds and still see the big girl I was. Today I took my drivers lic. pic from a few years ago and took a pic of me now. So while in the mirror I still see the heavy girl, seeing these 2 pics, I finally see a difference. Here they are me before at my heaviest in my late 40's and me now at 50. if your not seeing progress, maybe your brain is like mine. Put a before pic and a now pic side by side, enjoy and celebrate your success. I still have 30 to go, but I will get there and so will you.gfnjlnpkzdoy.jpg

It really is frustrating to not see what others see

After being on the road all weekend, small loss, but I'll take it. Down only half a pound this week to 210.

@kayjosh2422 Good job! Looks like you and I have about the same goals. Those who IF together, lose together. You are my inspiration on this challenge. Keep up the good work.

Oh man these past few weeks! Well, my week of finals is almost done for one school, so now I have a few weeks to focus on myself and my other school before the summer semester starts. I've definitely made a lot of bad choices. I've made a lot of good choices too, but in too large of quantities. Hopefully I'll be able to get the hang of it again! Good job to everyone else!

    CSW: 198.4 lbs
    CGW: 178.4 lbs
    W1: 196.4 lbs (-2 lbs)
    W2: 196.8 lbs (+0.4 lbs)
    W3: 195.8 lbs (-1 lbs)
    W4: 194.8 lbs (-1 lbs)
W5: 194.2 lbs (-0.6 lbs) Shark Week and started working out again 3 days a week

Challenge Loss So Far: -4.2 lbs

This challenge has been... a challenge. My losses have slowed down compared to previous ones, or at least it feels that way to me. I've been remiss on my water, but got back on track this week. This week also happened to be Shark Week and the week I started working out again so I'm actually surprised I showed a loss at all! I was expecting water retention, based on how bloated I feel.

I made this side-by-side a few weeks ago because I needed to SEE the difference because I really haven't been able to feel it every day and it gets discouraging.

The left is my driver's license photo from last May. The right is a pic I took after I got a new very shorter haircut in the middle of last month (April).

I'm coming up on my 60lb milestone (191.2). Time to just repeat what I did this week, next week, and the next, and the next. Slow and steady!

What a difference. Keep it up. I keep my before pic on my phone and remind myself daily of where I don't ever want to be again

You guys look so good! I finally managed to get to a scale and I was pleasantly surprised. I lose 2.4 lbs since last time I had one! I'm still going to go by inches, but since I haven't been working out, there's minimal change. But now that I have some more time I'm hoping to get to the gym more!
