My fitbit and MFP will not sync

I just got my fitbit last week. the first day I had it everything talked, though my numbers were a lot higher then I expected, since then nothing will sync. MFP does not read my steps, fitbit does not read my food intake.
I have tried to disconnect fitbit from MFP and it will not do it (I tap the button and it knocks me back to the apps, go back to fitbit it says I am still connected). I have uninstalled both apps, restarted my phone, no change. I have searched through the fitbit app and website, I cannot find anything. Any help?

I have had the same problem for over a year on two different fitbit devices (Surge and Blaze). The problem is, I value MFP's calorie estimations higher. BUT... My Blaze gives good estimations of exercise calorie burns. This lack of syncing is infuriating.1

Mine was syncing fine until last night and now it won't sync it all0

mine is fine so far.
there are a couple steps to take to get this type of stuff fixed...starting with disconnecting them for 15mins then resyncing.
make sure steps on the MFP app are assigned to fitbit
call customer service.0
