For the Tacx Trainer Software Afficionados...

Ever wondered what "rig" the Tacx guys use to get their footage for those stunning training DVD's...
At one point they were using a roof-mounted video rig that was strapped to a "smart car" - iirc, it was the "convertible" one.
But, this picture from their social media today looks like they've found a new way of getting the shots.
A cargo-ebike, with the Video Rig mounted on what looks like a steadicam arm, attached to the "basket" arrangement of the Cargobike - plenty of room onboard for the power systems to the camera, and, I'd assume, a couple of spare batteries for the e-bike...
just thought some of you might find it interesting how they got the shots...

That's pretty cool. I always assumed a car since there's clearly sections in one or two of the vids I have where the road was blocked to vehicular traffic and the video "cut" to another section.0

I know the older ones were definitely from a car, smart car convertible, but I think they got this rig sometime last summer...
I must admit, for the hilly rides, shooting from a car did end up with a bit of a slow frame rate at the speed that I climb... Hopefully if they go up at say 12kph and double up frame rate, then the new stuff should be flicker free....1 -
I'm glad they seem to be making more, found them a nice change over Winter then the Zwift going round a short circuit time and time again, reminds me I need to kill that subscription for now.1
