@GrandmaJackie That inspiration works both ways. You are a great support to all your friends. And when it comes right down to it, all we can do is one day at a time.
@Kenda2427 I'm glad you came through the storm relatively unscathed. That's quite a workout you have in store. I hope the headache is short-lived.
@danelutza19 Isn't it amazing how we somehow get the energy once we start.
Growth comes from ...
... setting your goals high
... ... and reaching for the Stars.

Milestone day...
I don't think I have made any progress in the past 10 days, so I will use today as a new starting point.
My food has mostly been ok, but I am eating too much. A lot of mindless eating, & drinking wine, because I want to? Because it makes me feel better? Because it tastes good? Maybe all of these things, but not because I need it to live or because I am hungry.
Starting today, I will get back to eating what I need, when I am hungry, sticking to my macro goals &'calorie goal. Drinking wine saps my energy & I am still working 7 days a week, but I have no energy. No more wine for me... My hand swelled up & has been very painful. I am back to having lots of aches & pains, so I need to tighten up my diet, so I feel better. I was doubting that I actually have fibromyalgia, but I think stress & wine make the symptoms come back, so maybe I really do have it.
Have a great Friday everyone!0 -
I am going the wrong way now for 2 weeks. I think I gained back all the weight I lost. I have been really depressed. I don't know why, or what triggered it. I am hoping I snap out of it soon. I really don't want to go to the doctors for medicine. I have found that the side effects just aren't worth the mild improvement I get from them. So today, I am just aiming to hang on, and not eat all the chocolates.
I did go roller skating last night even though I just wanted to curl up on the couch and do nothing. I said no to cupcakes, ice cream, and McDonald hamburgers.
I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday.0 -
@jdelaroy I can certainly commiserate with you on the going the wrong way. I am up again for this milestone but am down almost a pound since Tuesday. When life gets crazy and our moods get out of control the mindless eating of comfort food seems to take over despite us knowing better. Good job on resisting cupcakes, ice cream and hamburgers, that is a hugh win!
@lpeltenburg, mindless eating gets me every time and chocolate is my favorite food group the last month. Its funny how we so easily revert back to the poor eating and drinking habits knowing it makes us feel poorly but is still our "comfort" short term as it may be. Hang in there.
Well happy milestone 4 everyone, time sure does fly by. Did better with the eating yesterday but this low pressure weather system is still causing major headaches. My whole dept suffers migraines and severe headaches so this weather system has us all in a bad spot. Supposed to lift later today. On a bright note meeting an acquaintance for lunch today who I haven't seen in years so that it a high point for the day.
Today's goals:
eat mindfully
take dog & pony for a walk
clean paddock
get in a short strength training session
tackle the piles of laundry
10,000 steps
Happy Friday everyone! I won't be updating spreadsheet till Monday when I get back to office.

Morning,
It looks like this 100 days is a struggle for most of us. Like Terri said, we need to take one day at a time. When we have bad days bounce right back.
I'm going to focus just on maintaining for the rest of this challenge.
Just a quick note sorry, getting a nice workout in this morning before heading out with my husband. Tomorrow, I'm going to try and get a walk in before me and my daughter meet up. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.
I love this quote one of my newly found pal on MFP posted, it's something many of us are doing, me exspecially:
"Many have said many times over the years, "I'll start my diet tomorrow" and we keep that same mindset when trying to lose on MFP. Why? What is so magical about tomorrow? Nothing! That's why we say it many times but tomorrow never comes and years later we are still saying "tomorrow". SO, if I mess up during lunch, why wait for tomorrow? Get right back to it with the rest of the day. So I ate half of a pumpkin pie for lunch, by dinner time I may feel hunger and say "I'm already doing horribly today so I'll just go ahead and eat the other half of the pie for dinner." But we could choose to eat a healthy dinner! By choosing the healthy dinner we are telling ourselves that we have only one slip and we are better than that. One slip does not mean I have permission to eat whatever I want for the rest of the day! Today is the only day we have so do today what we know to do and eventually the results will show."1 -
Good morning flowers!!!!
@GrandmaJackie that was a very inspiring passage. It really does come down to consistency: we are what we are constantly doing and not what we do from time to time. Enjoy you day and the holiday weekend!!!
Just like everyone else, I had some very challenging days. The biggest hurdle for me comes from feeling bad. I feel so good everyday that when a few things change, and I'm under the weather, it feels like my whole world is collapsing. Yesterday was no different... I felt terrible from the morning; I did the only thing I knew would help in the long run: kept to my routine and give it all I had. I got it all done when it would have been so easy to give up.
Today I finally woke up feeling like myselfMy weight is a bit up from the last milestone but that's irrelevant considering Tom. I know I put in the work and eventually the scale will reveal it. The goals for today are all the usual ones: eat within calories/macros, do the training, do the chin-ups, all the steps, all the water and lots of sleep.
Let's have a fabulous Friday !!!!
Being the lucky person I am, yesterday I stumbled upon this motivational insight:
Jerry Seinfeld is one of the most successful comedians ever. His show was and is extremely popular grossing over 270 million $ in one year. One aspiring comedian asked Jerry for advice in becoming better; this is what he said: " Go home, buy a calendar and hang it on your wall. On the first day, write a joke. Mark that day with a big red "X". On the second day, write a joke. Mark that day with a big red "X". Do the same for the rest of the week. You will notice that you're creating a chain of "X" s on your calendar. Your job is to keep that chain going. "
The bigger the chain, the more you feel invested in it, the less likely you are to break it. Success doesn't come from grand things, it comes from small daily successful habits. When we focus on making the little steps successful, results are inevitable!
