Where do you burn more calories?

My gym has 2 different kind of ellipticals, one is more of a free lance 'glider' and the other is a stationary elliptical. I felt a little dorky getting on the stationary one because the movements were so small and the whole machine just felt so little under me. (5'6, 198lbs) I liked the glider a lot and I managed to stay on it for an entire hour and burned 800 calories (or so it said), I just wanted to know if anyone knew where you burned more...?

    I know this is like crazy late, but I'd bet they're pretty close to the same (if it's the same resistance and you're putting in the same effort). I usually go by feel when I'm testing on cardio machines- which one you feel you use your muscles more with. If one makes you sore the next morning and the other doesn't, then you found a winner.
