I have been drinking green tea. I have decided to try the green tea extract. I have had numerous people to give me down the road about it and how harmful it is. What isn't harmful anymore?!0

Hi. I'm Martha. I'm 47 and have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism for 7 years, but I have probably been struggling with it for 17 years. I'm looking for support because I have such a hard time losing weight. I started gaining it when I was 30... I went from 135# to 245# in that 10 years. When I was diagnosed and treated 10 years later I dropped 40# in a year without changing my diet or my activity... but I had had over 60# left to lose and struggled to lose 20#. Since then I bounce up and down and this year was a big bounce up. I'm working to lose 20# in the next few months and my ultimate goal is to be maintain a healthy weight by age 50 (150 by 50). I'm trying a combination of things: I'm increasing activity, lowering my calories, lowering my carbs and intermittent fasting (18/6). I'm doing it all in moderation, in hopes that I find something that will work forever.0

Hi, I'm Clarissa. I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease which is the cause of my hypothyroid. It has been a struggle for several years and recently I have been declared Gluten intolerant. So I have been kicked while I was down and now I am working to try to get healthy and not to let this disease get the better of me.0

Hi I'm Erica. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I was 19 and I'm still really struggling with symptoms even though I'm in range. I'm finding the weight really hard to shift but I joined Slimming World last month and have lost a stone so far but it seems to be slowing back down now.0

Good Morning! I am Stacey. I don't remember when I was actually diagnosed. However, I felt symptoms long before the numbers showed up. I am sad to have let myself get this far into an unhealthy state. The frustration gets the best of me! Watching others work hard and see results. Doing the same or more and not seeing much of a difference. I can change the shape of my body, just not the number.

I am Crystal. I am 138 lbs and want to maintain it despite having hypothyroidism. I was diagnosed in September 2016. I am on Armour Thyroid and feeling good. the only problems I have had are being a little cold and constipation. I also have Asperger's and pending insurance issues. CT is changing the Medicare savings program and cutting the income limits in half. I will no longer qualify for QMB. I will qualify for ALMB and not everyone in this level will get covered. I am looking at my options with a benefit specialist Tuesday afternoon. I cannot afford Medicare though, and private insurance will cost a lot more. I don't have a job and don't get enough to pay all these bills. I would lose essential medications, as well as doctor's appointments I need to get them prescribed. My anticonvulsant would cost $251 retail and I would pay $110.40 of it. Can't afford that, so I would lose that medication, and my seizure control with it. I stress about this all the time and just want a solution. The sooner i can leave CT, the easier off i'll be.1
