To all our friends living in the United States, happy Independence Day. Enjoy, celebrate, spend time with friends and family. Take a pass day if you need to.
@RangerRickL. Thank you for the promotion . Sir Craig at your service.
@pribud. Well done for getting a handle on stress eating.
@120maggie. Hope your husband comes through OK. Well done for not stress eating.
@ibelieveinmyself11. MFP (UAC) rocks over weight watchers. No cost, no points, weigh-in at home, virtual support 24/7.
@srufus. Loved the comment of "Weigh in day today, same weight as last week and I am really happy about it.". Also the
message.
(btw, I collect full length feature animations. Because you get nothing for free in an animation, generally a lot more thought goes into making them).

Happy Independence day to all our American members
Quick post tonight as I stayed up late making cake for a friend's birthday, got to get it to work tomorrow on my bike, have made slice and brownies for that reason so I can pack them in boxes, we'll see how well they survive.
Exercise: Cycled to work today and walked at lunchtime
Tracking: Yes, including 1/2 portions of both cakes to cover licking the spoons
Calories: Under, even with the cake, good job I went for a walk at lunchtime5 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? YES. 40 mins fast walking
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? YES just! I ate most of my exercise calories and scraped in with 72 to spare
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YES.
Very traumatic day here as my kids and I were caught in the middle of a police incident. We live in a tiny peaceful village in the french countryside where that kind of thing is unheard of . Very scary but no one was hurt - we did however turn to ice cream for comfort hence the consumption of exercise calories.
I really like this group - very active and very welcoming to newcomers like myself.
Hope you're all managing to stay on track!

Want to wish all my American friends a very HAPPY & Healthy 4th of July.
Giving my eating plan lots of thought today as I again seem to be eating most of my calories at night time. Starting today I am going to also do one of my little walks(that take forever right now...lol)
On MFP page I was at well over a hundred straight days of logging. I could not finalize the day of my surgery because I did not eat anything and if you don't eat at least 1000 calories it won't let you finalize........Luckily we have the pass days here...lol.......Oh well I am back to 18 straight days..........Due to this group I definetly chart every day and I loved seeing the number go up, it showed the progress I was making! Okay back to POSITIVE thinking..lol
@aeshippers Great job today! Hope everyone enjoys the treat tomorrow. A very nice thing to do for a friend!
@nyponbell sounds like you not only had a successful day but a fun day as well!
am_change Great start to the month, you are doing awesome!
@markmacare Nice to see you on here, Looks like a good day for you
@trixsey1 WOW! What a burn today! Have you always been this active?
@shonat11 Hope everyone is okay! That would not be a pleasant situation for anybody. Glad you enjoyed your ice cream and that it worked into your eating plan! WAY TO GO!
@PasleyFlower Great job in adding some jogging in your walk. Enjoy your success!
@Craigo3154 What a great walk today Sir Craig! 7k in 53 minutes is good! Add the hills and it is GREAT!
Will be checking in later with my positive results!
I BELIEVE! THEREFOR I CAN!4 -
Happy 4th !
Exercise: 35 minute walk with the dog-2 miles, 30 min of yoga and 20 min of mediation and pranayama
Tracked: Yes...every little thing
Calories: Stayed under my goal
Miles for the month: 15.5
30 day yoga challenge: 4 days
Lesson Learned: I learned to be aware of ME at heavy food events of how I am relating to the food around me, my thoughts that drive mindless eating. I succeed today in NOT overeating or mindless munching and had a very tiny sweet instead of 2nd helpings, cake and a ton of crap food.

popping back in to say happy 4th of July to everyone across the big pond1

July 4:
Happy Fourth, everyone!
Exercise? 6 mile run (at a slower speed than Sunday's run) plus a total of 85 minutes of walking throughout the day.
Plank? Yes. This time, did it before my run.
Calories? Under, with 706 to spare.
Tracked? Yes, including the cup of soft serve ice cream for dessert. It is a holiday, after all.
The big challenge will be going back to work tomorrow, as I have a bad habit of snacking in the afternoons when I'm 1) stressed and 2) trying to kill time. If I can get through tomorrow, I can get through every other day this month.6 -

Happy Independence Day to the Americans!
@pribud- Congratulations to you for not giving in yesterday. You have made it through some difficult post-surgery days and I know that you can continue to do this. I am sure it is wearing you down, but you have that inner drive! I didn't know that MFP stopped your logging streak if you don't log enough calories. I guess that is good though so that people don't under-eat. I wish you would have said because I would have suggested that you log 1000 calories from the dextrose in your IV fluid, or something like that. Oh well, I guess it doesn't really matter. What matters is that you know how hard you have been working!!!
@120maggie- How is your hubby doing?
@aeshippers- You are amazing! You were baking AND stayed under your calorie goal. Woohoo!!!!
@shont11 - Extra hugs to your little darlings tonight!
@conchita962- Happy to hear about your huge success of no mindless eating and limiting the sweets. Good on you!
@RangerRickL - I am going to take the "Liberty" of amending Lincoln's words to add "and women." LOL, you know I had to do that!
My day has many hours to go, but I am on track so far and got in my workout. The whole family spent the am doing volunteer work since it is a work holiday. Tomorrow, my wonderful husband and I go to Carmel and Big Sur along the mid CA coast (north of the landslides) for 4 days to celebrate our 25 year wedding anniversary.10 -

I'm not going to be able to really start until after I finish my upcoming youth conference. I'm cooking for 400 people and can't keep track of my own calories
I'll be back next week and hopefully can stay strong!6 -
July 4.
65 minute cycle. Got out on the road at 7am on a holiday morning! Then 85 minutes of mowing the lawn. Earned enough calories to enjoy our wholiday party and stay under goal.
Tracked everything--- and because of having to track I didn't graze before dinner. Have to say I felt satisfied and not deprived. Now if only I could do this for every party or family event!!
Thanks for your concern for my husband. He is doing well.
@hawkins410 I thought of you this morning. Coming back into town I picked up the bike trail. Two woman had four half grown goldens on leashes and they were trying to walk them in an orderly fashion.7 -
Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans! It's almost midnight here and they're still shooting off fireworks.
July 3- Pass day. Office treated for lunch again and I decided to enjoy it without worrying.
July 4
Exercise: Yes, 25-minute run and 20-minute walk in 89°F weather that felt like 102° with the humidity. Killer, but I saw about 50 deer while on the trail, which was cool.
Calories: Yes.
Tracked: Yes.5 -
We had lots of company today, so staying under calorie limits was almost impossible. I did eat back the exercise and finished under by a much less than normal margin...but I did it.
Exercise today: Lots of chores to prepare and then later break down a party for 35 people. Whew! Plenty of walking too.
Calories; under
Tracking: ok

Exercised: Yes; walked dog 20 min x2, biked 30 min
Calories: yes
Tracked: yes
I feel good about making it four days, but it's not easy, and I'm freaked out about making it through the month. I'm going to narrow my focus to making it to next saturday.2 -
Sheesh! I have to take my first pass day. I was 161 calories over( and that's with using my one hour walk and gym/strength training exercise calories).
My daughter unexpectantly called me at around 11:00 AM to see if I could meet here at Moxie's for lunch. I said yes of course because this rarely happens because she a very busy working mom. I ordered a fish taco which came with fries. I drank water. Later when I looked up the calories it said 1000 calories. I was/am in shock. No wonder I rarely eat out. I had only about 10 fries with the ketchup.2
