There are just a few days left in this month. Last night, I noticed that we have had a sudden plunge in our sign-ins. @craigo3154, we may have to circle back around and gather in our lost ones.
For everyone who is still going strong...keep the finish line in focus!!

Hi folks, I haven't been checking in but have not forgotten you all. For me the winners circle is now no more than a dot on the horizon but I'll be back in August and probably checking in before then once I'm back home .
Keep up the good work and thanks for the inspiration, advice, support etc etc . See you soon :-)7 -
Had a lovely day today. Took a day off work and had a girly day out shopping with my daughters. We also went to a new food court for lunch not far from where my husband works so he joined us too. It's like a mall food court in concept but with higher quality food options and decorated like an informal restaurant. I went to the Mexican stand and had a very delicious roasted veggie burrito.
Exercise: lots of walking all day, 20 minutes exercise bike and my bodyweight exercises.
Tracking: Yes, although estimation on the burrito
Calories: Yes with margin to allow for inaccurate estimation (although I chose the smaller size burrito)

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 7.8 Km in 70 mins (hills).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Good day today. Did not set out to do a fast walk today, but it kinda worked out that way.
Posted the progress photos in yesterdays thread (on request of the members). Hope they help inspire others.
Also had a seminar at the school on "tuning into teens". Teaches "emotional coaching" strategies to try make parenting with a teenager easier (also helps give the teens skills to manage themselves too). Very interesting.
Hope all have a good day today.

Exercised?: Yes
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Not a good day today and I think I'm coming down with a chest infection.
Just hope it doesn't get any worse.
Only managed a 35min of low impact HIIT workout, but enjoyed my walk with the dogs (70mins). Other activities include housework and other chores around the house, so been active, things just took longer to get done today.
All logged and tracked, with just over 100 calories to spare.
MFP is still asking me to keep my calories at 1200 (losing 2lbs a week), but I'm gonna up this to 1320 (1.5lb loss a week) as I can't sustain 1200 for too long and it's been 6wks now.
I have been eating back some of the exercise calories when I do a good burn though.
I don't feel hungry as you know, but when I don't get enough to eat my hands begin to shake (the same happens if I get too dehydrated) - it's my indicator that I need a meal and after a good burn I need the extra fuel, so I've increased this.
Also stood on the scales this morning and gained 2lbs - no idea what's with that, but stood on them again after the HIIT workout and was a 1lb gain - are fluctuations like this common?
I don't usually weight myself so frequently, but I am doing so every morning now and it's been constant at a 2lb loss each week and now a 2lb gain today?
@craigo3154 - great pics yesterday, you can certainly see the difference. Great work!

@trixsey1 it is very common for our body weight to fluctuate. It could be almost anything. If I am weighing myself daily I find this. When I was weighing weekly I did not see it. It is your choice how often you weigh, just try not to let the scale determine your mood for the day, which I was letting happen until I noticed it and changed back to weekly weigh-ins...5

Thank you for not giving up on the lost ones. Even though I don't sign in/log regularly, I can't express enough how much I appreciate YOU who always are very inspiring and encouraging.
I am doing well for the last 16 days... eat health(ier), occassionally exercise and sometimes just indulge myself with snacks - but I am more aware of what I am eating and lost almost 7 lbs for the last 16 days.
Will aim to do better next month (and remaining days of July)!9 -
@pribud : Thanks for the encouragement yesterday. It means a lot!
@craigo3154: Great progress pics!
@trixsey1 : I am a daily "weigher". I can see my weight go up overnight by three pounds for no reason, or down three pounds. I used to really curse at my scales if I gained weight after a big workout, but then I learned that my sore muscle cells were absorbing water (plus I drank more after a workout). Similarly, I often lose weight the day after I have gone overboard. That makes noooo sense, unless perhaps I am dehydrated. This Spring I got stuck at a plateau that I just could not break. Subsequent depression led to a 20 pound gain. Every one has a different system for weighing in, but I find that daily has helped me understand (and have patience with) the odd fluctuations that we all see. If I only weighed once a week and it happened to be an "off" day, I'd probably throw my scales out the window.4 -
@trixsey1 fluctuations are VERY normal .. I weigh daily because I cant stand waiting a whole week to stand on the scale at "the wrong time" ..

Hello Everyone! Hope you're all on track and feeling good tonight. If you're not on track, I still hope you're feeling good.
3 yeses and I'm really feeling the soreness after the weight training (though I like to think of it as "weight abusing " lol) from yesterday. It's all in the name of becoming a pinnacle of health and totally worth it. Back to the weights again tomorrow. Make it great!4 -
YIPES, I am doing an awful job with the thread. There is so much good stuff going on with everybody! So much to comment on and I can't keep up. I think I reported in on Sunday. If not I am good for the last three days with exercise, tracking and calories.3

July 25
Exercise: walk 25 min
Calories: under
Tracked: yes
Miles: 1.5
Lesson learned: I need to get up early in the morning to get exercise done. Things that I have to do after work take up my exercise time. I'm a long time insomniac so I have such a hard time getting up. Something to work on!!!3 -
Hi Everyone!
I have been very distracted by family (last weekend) and work (yesterday and today).
Calories: under by a bit
Tracking: ok
Exercise: walking just to make it so.2 -
July 25: yes x3
@craigo3154 thanks for sharing your pics...a true testament to how much work you have put it. also inspires me to keep going and maybe one day I'll have my own comparison photos
@trixsey1 I am a once a week weigh in person. I think the daily fluctuation would drive me insane. I just do my best everyday and when friday night comes the scale will say what it does...for the good and the bad...lol!1 -
Yes x3. 35 minutes of cardio kickboxing and abs plus an evening bike ride with the kiddos.3
-
A good day with my sister. Did some walking around Home Sense for about 30 minutes. Lots of visiting but making good healthy food choices. Still on board for incorporating daily healthy habits and exercise despite the fact that I did not make the winner's circle this month.3
-
@SimonsChange, Wow! 9 lbs in less than a month. That's great.
@Trixsey1, daily changes don't mean much, I go up and down almost 3 lbs daily. I've been using "http://www.weightgrapher.com/graphs" which creates a graph and gives you the trend of weight loss. I get less crazy over the scale when I can see the trend.
Anyway, yes x 3 for me today.2 -
@SimonsChange GREAT JOB! You WILL make all your goals! Less than 20 miles to go...woohoo
yes x3 for me2 -

@pribud, @hawkins410, @slimpossible007, @hil331115, @sandera2 -
Thank you all. I usually weigh myself once a week, but I have been weighing myself each day, and it's the first time my weight has gone up, lol.
I have been doing strength training and my body is quite sore, so this could be why.
I will go back to just weekly weigh ins as I was before for a more accurate reading as I think the daily fluctuations would just confuse me, lol.
Thank you all for your explanations and advise.
@Slimpossible007 - Fantastic! Well done!
@simonschange - Congrats on the 10pound loss - well done on keeping with your goals for the month!6 -
Exercise: rugby pre season fitness, and a bit of rucking.
