On Friday, I was almost desperate to be able to ride my brown and white paint horse. I have been intensely been working with many individuals; couples and groups of people. I was emotionally fatigued. But...after 4 hours with my horse riding through prairie and forest, I am recharged. BTW: yesterday, I was 'yes x 3".
At 10 a.m. today, Saturday, an 82 year old man is bringing his horse to my farm to ride with me. That's what I hope to be able to do at 82 too. Bless you all!

Hi guys, I hope you're all still going strong. I'm back from holiday and, as I suspected, I've gained weight (more than I thought).
Back to a healthy lifestyle now - longterm!
See you in August.......4 -
I'm glad time with your horse helped Rick! It's the school holidays here in England which means that after a heatwave from May to halfway through July it's now dropped to the low 20s (60-70s?) and will not stop raining. I've brought some of my daughter's toys in from the garden and she likes a blue plastic rocking horse. She babbles her own version of 'horsery horsey don't you stop'. Not sure if that's only a nursery rhyme sung here?!
So it's my 6th wedding anniversary. Apparently the 6th year gift is sugar Hahaha! Not for me! My plan of saving my calories nearly backfired. I skipped breakfast and went to the market stall at 10 for a planned veggie dosa...and the man hadn't started making any yet and told me to come back half an hour later. Agh! I was starving and surrounded by bakery goods...but I resisted! So I went for my usual short walk 1-2miles but (ridiculously) I kept feeling annoyed at myself because I'd forgotten to put my fitbit back on after my shower.
Is anyone else a slave to a fitness tracker? It's so silly as I still covered the distance but it's annoyed that it isn't logged!
My other musing of the day so far was from watching mayflies near the river. They only live a day. I have a beautiful picture storybook about them and how they're not sad to only have one day but embrace every moment. A life lesson for us UACers and to be able to enjoy a healthy life due to our choices. Like the 82 yrold horse rider. My nan used to play soccer with the great grandchildren as well as walking her dog miles and miles into her late 80s. One life. Live it!4 -
@RangerRickL - glad your horse riding helped you relax.
Happy Anniversary @am_change.
Yes the weather surely has dropped here hasn't it. Hopefully August will bring some more sunshine with it.
I often watch the mayflies and dragonflies near the lake I pass when out walking the dogs, I too used to have a picture book "Mayfly Day" - I wonder if it's the same one.2 -

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 7 Km in 57 mins (hills).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Slightly longer walk today. Very windy.
Had a great dinner at a friends place (Italian theme - Salami/Prosciutto - Lasagne - Tiramisu and Gelato), each family bought a course.
@trixsey1. Great walk. Hope you get over tonsillitis soon (for me tonsillitis is a signal to slow down and take it easy, immune system under attack and tonsils are acting as first line of defence).
@am_change. Happy wedding anniversary. You also summed it up perfectly. "@Dosse1320 thanks as ever for your uplifting cheer leading this month.
And as ever, massive thanks to our team leader @RangerRickL for all he does for us."
@MyersCrystal. So easy to go over when someone else controls the menu. Best you can at that stage is either portion control, or make it an intentional pass day and get back the schedule tomorrow. Enjoy the time with Grandma. Family get togethers like that (as they are occasional) are more important than UAC. Enjoy the day, take the pass, live and enjoy.
I definitely made circle this month.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Exercised?: Yes.
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
@craigo3154 - yes I was thinking the same thing. I think I need to slow down a bit too.
Had an easy day, the housework alone took me forever, lol. Managed a 60min walk with the dogs just over 3km this afternoon, and had another short walk this evening after tea.
Still not much of an appetite - 1074/1320 but have been drinking plenty.3 -
@trixsey1 yes! 'Mayfly Day'. It's beautiful! Glad you had a restful day. As I've been doing the UAC for a while sometimes I skim read the introductions as so many people seem to join and then not take part. I just re read for those of you who have stuck around and my goodness! Did I read that right, that you didn't leave the house for a year? Wowee what hard times and what amazing progress you've made! Delighted for you.
Yes x 3 here. I'm really fighting the urge now to have something sweet. Luckily there's nothing in the house eg chocolate or I'd have had it by now!

Exercise: ! Hour of VERY much needed stretching yoga. 30 min walk with the dog
Calories: under
Tracked: Yes
Lesson Learned: Be nice to my tummy and keep resisting the stuff that makes me sick! This month has been 90% clean eating and it makes a big difference when you eat something that's over processed or too sweet, fatty, etc quickly. I find even a bite of something can make me sick to my tummy.
GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!!3 -

Tracked and under calorie goal.
Hour of zumba and then later in the day a serious hike with hills. Got over 19,000 steps on the Fitbit today. I am not going to get possessed with getting those last ones in to go over the 20,000 mark today. @am_change, yes I too am a slave to the tracker. I think the only time i remember purposefully not wearing it was for my daughter's college graduation pictures2 -

My horseback ride with Otis, the 82 year old African American horse owner and rider was the BEST! His horse is named Trigger, in honor of Roy Rogers' horse (for you young ones, he was The King of the Cowboys in the 1950's).
Today, I rode about 90 minutes and then over 2 hours, I helped cut and clean our woodland area of dead fall trees and branches. That is a great Saturday for me!!
Calories: with the exercise, I am way under.
Tracking: ok2 -
Yes x3. Barely.
Woke up feeling awful. Two of my kids have had a touch of a bug the past week and they've passed it along. The day was still busy and active since my husband is out of town and all the errands, cleaning, laundry and packing needed to get done before tomorrow morning. No problem staying under calories but seriously debated taking pass #3 to avoid intentional exercise. My pounding headache subsided just enough this evening to get in 20 minutes of Pilates and ab work.1 -
Yes x 3. Danced 2 hours.
@loopydo2017, hope you and your kids feel better soon.0 -
