Mornin' BBB.
Lisa, you know I was just kidding. No matter what meeting you are running, the facility would be over capacity. You are a rock star!
Did not bring Babe home for the weekend. Billy the Greek feels she trains better if she stays with him. I really miss my little AB.

Good Morning!
Went for BBQ last night at a local joint. Connie went with me, but she likes to wait in the car. This place is old, and is like walking back into the 1970s. There were maybe half a dozen people in there, waiting for our orders. In walks Eric Stonestreet. He is from around here. We are talking for a couple of minutes, and I realize that Connie will be real ticked if I don't tell her. She is a huge fan. I go out and get her. She gets all gushy and shakes hands, etc. Sigh... He is really a nice guy, and easy to visit with. He was getting ribs to take to Lady Antebellum, who was having a concert in town last night. I spent 3 years as the business manager for the performing arts at KU. I rarely get star struck. Cool experience, but not start struck. Connie on the other hand....
The BBQ was great. I don't even begin to try to count points when eating BBQ.
Have a great day!0 -
Morning BBB
I got to get to the store and then I'm on packing duty to hit the road.
Sounds like my workplace is moving, oh joy.
Critters took a couple bites out of my almost ripe tomatoes so I better collect some before they are gone. Jeeeez
Hope Skip is progressing each day.
Date weekend sounds fun, Kelly! Enjoy

Good Morning,
Tis Frydee!!!!
TGIF,
Need a Skip report,
What percent of eclipse is expected in KY? Though it sounds as it may not matter, with enough good bourbon or whiskey one may see many eclipses.
Lee, check with Billy the Greek and see if he would keep DMIL for a weekend or two, she needs lots of training.
Most look and see the pleasant things that have happened in their past and keep those as memories, do not focus on hurtful or bad which happened. My personal philosophy is the past has happened, learn from it and go on; we do not have the power to go back and change history. I say this to leed into DMIL and her antics. Doctor's office called DW to confirm DMIL's appointment for Monday. DMIL wants doctors number so she can call and change appointment. Ask her why, "because of eclipse" what does eclipse have to do with you having your pacemaker checked? "well it will make everything off"; appointment is morning, eclipse is in afternoon, DW informs DMIL she is going to appointment because it will take over 3 months to get another appointment without having to go into Atlanta. DMIL tears up, "momma held Mildred and Buck during eclipse when I was little and I was scared and didn't know what was happening" Mildred and Buck were her younger siblings five years younger. My comment as I went to cut grass, do not cry over spilled milk and some folks did what they felt was best with what they had to work with. I'll bet you did not do everything perfect either. Then she threw dish rag down and went downstairs.
Hope all have a super weekend!!!!
Enjoy the Day,

I guess many of us revert to being childlike as we get to a certain age. Am not sure Billy the Greek would be able to do much. Just like the past cannot be changed, neither can the ravages of time. My father would say something like pick your battles. Rescheduling 3 months out might be a battle worth waging.
Eric Stonestreet picking up BBQ for Lady Antebellum. Cool.0 -
Good Morning BBB.
Sounds like Bill/Skip is going home today! The a few weeks of home rest.0 -
Good morning BBB Friends.
- Got to admit I did not recognize the name but looked him up. Definitely know him from Modern Family.
- Sorry I missed the Lady Antebellum concert, and the ribs.
- I've got 5 days of new beard and trying to decide if it is too early to start the winter face.
- Soounds like a great weekend trip Mary, enjoy.
- Sounds like a great date Kelly, I know you'll enjoy.
- Get well Skip.

Open House this week on Saturday instead of Sunday so I'll be up at dawn to clean and set up as I have commitments all day. Whatever it takes.
Lisa - if we lived closer I would rejoin WW just to go to your meetings.
Lee - when is your next trial?
Sam - as I have said many times, you have the patience of Job.
Mary - enjoy your weekend up north. Looking forward to pics. Just done look at the eclipse unless you are wearing those special funny eye protectors or a box over you head with a pinhole in it.
Steve - cool about the Eric Stonestreet sighting. Good BBQ is a magnet.
Do good out there everyone!0 -
Good morning BBB.
I had to look him up, too. But it was a face I knew immediately.
Hope you can get to your eclipse watching party. I don't know about the rest of the country, but in the Pacific Northwest the mania is getting out of hand. There are already 30-mile traffic backups in remote little towns in Central Oregon. Portland is 50 miles north of Salem, where the eclipse will be total. Officials estimate that on Monday the trip will take six to nine hours. I'll watch it on television, thank you.0 -
Morning bbb
Mary maybe moving offices will be a good time to get rid of outdated materials and things you have just tucked into a drawer.
Glad skip is recovering nicely.
Headed to a store today to do a small project and document for my direction page. Too bad the store is an hour away. Then a million little things to get done before the weeklong conference in Houston.0 -
First trial will be here in CT on the 27th, then the second will be in Maine on Sept 9th.0

Just Babe in test or Babe and Tess?0

Crazy busy. 90%of the eclipse in KY. Worth it to me.
Lisa. I'm amazed that 3 receptionists can get that done. Ours aren't so great. We have 3. I'm guessing around 40 people. The meeting is sometimes over before all are weighed in. Crazy.
I'll read up later and respond.0 -
Oh no. I typed a small novel. It vanished. Errrr
Good luck Raine on the open house
Tomorrow is the day. Empty nesters. Both boys leaving. Woo hoo. Clean house. Yippeee.
My mother is a queen of popping in unannounced. DH told me that every time she comes over not sometimes but every time she comes over she has to somehow put me down or tell me that I'm doing something wrong. I never noticed until he pointed that out. She pops in on an average of 10 times a week.
Tomorrow morning she is to be here to load up her car with stuff for my oldest son and the oldest son will load up his car and they will be going to his college. Well, my sister and I are meeting our phone with her for breakfast at 7:30. My mom will be here at 7 AM. I do not want to lie to my mother but, if she know that I'm having breakfast with my sister and dad she will have a horrible day to be very angry and ruin the day for the oldest boy. Therefore, I decided when she asked me where I am going I will "bark". Not kidding. That way she will assume that I am dog sitting. I know it's ridiculous.
I never thought about a lot of traffic to go see the solar eclipse. The drive is two hours now I think we should leave around 11 that will give us three hours I sure hope that is long enough0
