My wife, Rose, has always been slender. She is blessed with a fast metabolism coupled with the ability to choose to eat very modest portions. She loves lots of high caloric foods but she can take a bite or two and stop eating.
I am just the opposite. I have low metabolism and many high calorie foods trigger my desire to eat large portions.
The UAC helps me to choose more appropriate portions and/or to stop eating even when my overeating desire has been triggered.
I hope that works for you too!

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 5 Km in 54mins (flat - round lake - first 2.5km in 36min with wife and daughter, second 2.5km in 18 mins solo).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Nice weather again today. Strength training in the morning, then walk in afternoon.
Nice to walk and talk with family. Unfortunately my wife slipped on some soggy ground while I was doing my second lap around the lake and is a little more sore than usual (nothing serious, but may slow down walking progress next week).
Pizza, leftover pavlova and ice cream for dinner (and somehow still under budget). Will see how the pizza makes me feel in the morning as it is the first "bread" type product I can remember having in weeks.
I find I need the tracking to tell me how much I need to eat (and reminds me to eat). My appetite has been broken for as long as I can remember. Without external tracking I would often eat too little (normal day), or sometimes too much (when I have non-filling calorie dense foods - especially when eating out or at a celebration).
As mentioned yesterday by Rick, starting the weekly awards from week 2. This is to try out the system and see if any kinks that need to be ironed out for next month.
Like monthly award, it's based on the honor system and announced weekly. First week would be from the 15th to the 21st.
To achieve silver circle, you must have 1 (or less) pass days in the week.
Rick (or I) will call for self nominations (either in thread or by PM) for first silver circle on the 21st for those that had only one pass day since the 15th. First silver circle achievers will be announced on the 22nd (or maybe 23rd).
Eventual goal is that 4 silver circles *OR* less than 4 pass days for the month qualifies for monthly winners circle.
Silver circle allows more pass days in the month BUT they must be evenly spaced. I think this would probably makes it a harder route to the winner circle, but encourages "getting back on the horse" quicker. Works also on diets that have a "free"/"refeed"/"cheat" day.

Yikes, I wasn't feeling very energized for yesterday's or today's workouts. Though I got them done, I realize that I need a (quasi) rest day from my usual workouts. So, tomorrow will be weighted hula hooping:)
Exercise: 1 hour 25 minutes of cycling--a few hills, then I did a few minutes of jumping jacks, skipping rope, planks, and high platform step ups.
Unfortunately, I pulled something in my right calf area while doing jumping jacks. I was quite miffed, but I rolled it and massaged it. I hope it'll be ok:-)
Calories: within my goal. I had a gigantic cookie from Whole Foods and some awesome Norwegian milk chocolate. Yum. Yum.
Tracking: yes, everything2 -
@craigo3154 Unless you ask me to do something, please go ahead and take the tiller on the weekly program until we settle in to a weekly protocol.
The wedding festivities ended today with a morning brunch. A great family and friend celebration was enjoyed by all.
In addition to the marriage of daughter, Diana, our youngest son, Ethan, announced his engagement to his long-time girlfriend, Taylor.
My daily report:
Calories: under the limit
Tracking: ok
Exercise: walking for 57 minutes and farm chores.3 -
@craigo3154 I've had similar issues with my caloric intake. Since starting school, I've been so busy that I've not eaten enough. I munch on vegetables throughout the day, but they don't add up to much. MFP has had to remind me to eat more too
@cardio_enthusiast I hope your calf feels better!

50 Minutes morning bike ride and 2 hours slow walking round a forest. I almost forgot to add the chilli peanuts into the diary but fortunately I still had plenty of capacity left to include them so both calories and tracking were good.

Pass #1 - I had too much pizza and ice cream with my husband. We spent the day watching Hurricane Irma's path on the news. My mother-in-law lives in a mobile home in Sarasota, FL and had to evacuate. We were worried all day and night as to her safety and the outcome to her home. I am happy to report that after a close call, she made it through just fine! We are still waiting until she can get back to her home to assess if there is any damage there, but she doesn't expect that there will be.1
