Do you cross train in other things (non martial arts) such as weight lifting, running or ..?
How do you fit these activities in with your martial arts training? How often, and how do you time them against your training?

Right now, I've got a bone bruise in my foot and am doing nothing.
Normally, I do 2-3 karate classes a week and then do beachbody workouts at home in between. (I pick a different program each month so I don't get bored.) I aim to 5-6 days of activity. Some days I'll double up and do a beachbody workout in the morning and karate at night.1 -
I have a really hard time motivating on my own at home, so I go to classes. I take a conditioning class (kind of like circuit training), flexibility, and acrobatics. If I didn't take classes and left it to myself to work on things at home I think I would epically fail.0

I started running before I re-started my karate. I also volunteer for my local Parkrun and so I feel obligated to show my face every now and then. Unfortunately I only have one class a week, and it is at the same time as Parkrun. Otherwise I use exercise dvds, Zombies! Run! App or katas at home1

One thing I haven't tried is parkour. (There's an all parkour studio that I'm considering checking out at the end of the month.) Has anyone else tried and liked it?0

I do workouts during my lunch hour at the gym next door to my job. I vary the workouts between core routines, weight lifting, and cardio - by way of treadmill. Sometimes, if I am just not into doing one of my usual things I'll do something different; lately that's been a TRX routine. On Thursdays I attend the only lunch hour class the gym offers: Tabata.
None of these things interfere or have anything to do with my TKD. TKD came after I'd already been doing these things for a long while.0
