Every year, I buy a couple of wall calendars. Here is a vintage Coca Cola calendar.
Calendars reveal a lot about us. After all, we choose them because they please us.
What kind of calendar themes do you like?
See one of my favorite styles below.

The linen wall calendars would be special to me as they remind me of my grandmother. There are two out for 2018 which would catch my eye...a songbird calendar which my DH would like (he likes to feed the birds) and a wine country calendar which would be reminiscent of the Finger Lakes region of NYS in which we live.

Dec 16 was my first Dec pass day with the party last night. Our hike at the arboretum got canceled. Not sure why. It was a great winter day. Fortunately I got some cross country skiing in. First time out for the season. Actually did a couple of hills I usually reserve for later in the year. Ate a lot at the party but focused on holiday foods rather than junk.
Dec 17. So the scale was ugly this morning, but I'm not derailed because it was planned. Thanks UAC. Having to post really helps!! Dropped down to losing calories rather than maintenance. Just got back from cross country skiing. A lot faster conditions! Did the same route as yesterday but 8 minutes faster. Unfortunately rain is in the forecast for tomorrow. And of course work gets in the way.
For calendars, every year I order my husband the northern lights Alaska wildlife & wilderness calendar. We started this traditional after a three week trip to Alaska in 1990. We flew to Anchorage, rented a car and wandered around the state. It was one of the best trips ever.4 -
Exercise: Yes. (38 min HIIT and some music playing)

Back after being sick for a week. I usually pick a calendar with motivational quotes.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, Zen Labs 10k training app, plus some trail walking. 6 and 1/2 miles total.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, finally!! Usually when I'm sick I don't feel like eating...not this time...wanted to eat everything in sight, which is very unusual for me.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes, finally!!4 -
yes X 3 - Jane Fonda Total Body Workout 27 minutes (senior citizen version, of course). Also, 20 minutes NIH Go4Life Sample Workout for Older Adults; and 1 hour walk in our 20's temps (that would be 20 degrees fahrenheit) with DH.3

I had a cruddy morning and ate like crap so went on a 4 mile walk/run today. Felt great during and after. Watched what I ate the rest of the day and managed to stay under and all tracked. What was looking like a crappy day got turned around with a little “eye on the prize” mentality.6

My aunt lives in Norwich, England and sends us a calendar every year. It has pictures of all the tourist spots and all are of places I spent school holidays at as a kid. For some reason, I got shipped off to Norwich every school holiday. I still go back every year when I go home as her and my dad’s brother still live there. It’s a quaint city.
Also, my arts and crafty sister in law creates a family calendar with pictures of things we have done during the year. It’s one of my favourite presents. This year she also sent homemade chutney which was to die for. It’s gone already. I text her to say thanks and she replied ‘eat it with some stilton’……errr, too late4 -

Them on my fridge. I usually go for beautiful pictures, usually inspirational. My 2018 calendar is going to be one from my friend's florist shop.3 -

Yes to only 2 today. I was over my calories. 30 min on elliptical. Crazy busy weekend - so I feel good about getting my ecercise in but feel bad about going over today on calories. Lesson learned. This is such a great visual tool for putting a # to the food.3

yes x3!
20 min weight based strength training
My Aunt makes calendars every year for everyone in the family with everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries, days of remembrance for family members who have passed away, and of course holidays. That is my calendar every year and I love it!5 -
Yes x 3 for me. Walked about 1hr with puppy, my sister and her dog. My sisters' dog is tiny but has quite long legs, and it's amazing how she keeps up with puppy who is about 5 x her size. Had to use my exercise calories today, so just scraped in under. Still managing to stick to relatively low refined carbs, so am pleased about that. The test will be when I make the mince pies - I am not keen on sweet things and desserts, but do like the occasional mince pie.

Had so much work to finish up after a crazy week and of course it was desk work. I had stayed within my calories and logged everything, but it wasn’t until it was almost too late that I forced myself to do a yoga video so I wouldn’t have to take a pass! ✅ ✅ ✅ yesx3
I like the one-a-day types of calendars, especially humor or quotes.4 -

I got my mum to bring over a large jar of mincemeat so I can make mince pies. I make tiny ones in filo pastry, not as good as my mum’s but it keeps the cals down and I still get that craving satisfied.1
