Steve, can you hear me now?
Amazing what the neurosurgeons can do with those critical and delicate nerve roots. Sure hoping once you get in to see him, he'll be able to do something for you, Bill.
Be OP ;-)

Mornin'. Drove DD & family to airport yesterday for their mini-vacation in St. Thomas. We stopped on the way at a tiny 92 year old Italian North-End restaurant for best pizza I ever ate...
Getting a cough and sore throat. Expecting some snow tonight, but later in week will be 60's and rain again. Wish winter would make up it's mind. Might go to GS's youth basketball tournament today, depending on how sick I feel after coffee and breakfast.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Good luck on the cold, Mike. I am just recovering from my latest iteration.
Spent several hours in the shop, yesterday, creating a large pile of shavings and three small hazelnut bowls. Good for my psychological health.
Forecasters say we might get a little snow tomorrow. Heavy snow in the mountains. That will delay the start of the hiking season, but, with my surgical plans, I won't be doing any early hiking, anyway.0 -
Good Morning!
Well, went to the hearing center on Thursday. My right ear is mostly OK. The left ear, however, drops off significantly in higher pitched sound ranges. That, in turn, is pulling down the right ear, which is trying to compensate. I have the most problems with the female voice on the left side. Wanna know where Connie sits in relation to me in our living room? At least she was at the appointment, and knows that I was not practicing selective hearing. I will be getting a hearing aid for my left ear. Should get early next week. Not related to sound damage. This is pure genetics. Specialist predicts that my hearing will get worse in the next 3-5 years, then may level out.
I got the year-end stuff to the outside CPA yesterday. Now just a couple of days of easy cleanup, and then somewhat back to normal.
So today, I'm noticing that I'm getting something bronchial in my chest. Today is supposed to be my long run day. I may have to let that go today. Dang it! Just when I get out of my high stress time, I start to get sick. Connie predicted it. Resistance goes down as stress goes up. I do tend to catch a little something when I come to the back side of a high stress period.
Have a great day!0 -
Good Morning. I am spraying my iMac with Lysol so I don't catch all the cold type bugs on this thread. I am glad you got the hearing straightened out Steve.
Yesterday started a little rough in the morning and by the time I got back from the lab and a couple of errands I was on pain meds and an unpleasant mood. Ended up taking some again in the evening. But I called the Neurosurgeons office who called me back and much to my surprise scheduled me to come in on March 9. This lifted my spirits quite a bit. I was in quite a daze from the pain meds so I tuned my Hammered Dulcimer and reorganized the corner it sits in. DW brought home something for dinner. Feel absolutely fine today. Go figure. Not sure what is on the agenda today. An attempted drive to the beach is likely canceled. It takes over an hour. After yesterday I am sure there will be a veto by DW.0
